If you feel like scratching your head a bit, have a look at the FR24 trace for AA3023. They've ended up with an abort, and evacuation (and everyone has their luggage, as usual) but that's almost the most normal part of the trace.

With all the manoeuvring and associated braking would that have a significant impact on brake temperatures?

It’s possible, but with a bit of care, it shouldn’t.

Looking at the pictures, it actually seems to be sitting on the left engine. And how often now have we seen people standing on the wing, in this case, more or less over the fire, and no slide available to them. But, they have their cabin luggage!
