Bring back the Whiskeys of the World lounge that CX ran near gate 1 after the airport opened, smoking at the bar and some of the finest single malts available by the glass, a different era!

Didn't know about the Priority Pass First class lounge til now....but will stick to Cx Pier F ;)
Maybe when CX is closed in the wee morning hours.

I note the oneworld site specifically indicates Finniar F and J along with Finnair diamond.

Oneworld status in general does not cut it.

I thought they removed the cabanas in the renos? As per https://www.executivetraveller.com/news/cathay-the-wing-first-class-lounge-hong-kong

This time though I'll be trying the Qantas lounge as well.
This is one of the best QF International J lounges imho...if you are flying Qf or a flight departing from a low gate number, it is very conveniently located cf say the Pier which is gate 63 or 65 iirc. They serve dim sum dishes in the Qf lounge :) and there is lots of space to spread out.

Being in HKG, I always by default just go to the CX lounges as it's their base.

Have never actually been to the QF one before but yes, I've heard that this is one of the better lounges that they operate. If it's anything like the one in SIN, then it should be decent.

I'll be on a CX flight coming back to Australia (the past few days my flight # has been from gates 34, 62, 60, 29, 43 - so rather random) but don't mind walking to and from the gates.

I'll also be there around 8am or so, so hopefully the dim sum carts do come out too.

Bit confusing to write ‘how to access the lounge’ when referring to location. That phrase - almost universally - means the methods by which you can gain entry… class of service, status, or paid.

‘Where to find the lounge’ or ‘lounge location’ would have been better.

Is the First/Diamond section of the Bridge open to OWEs?

Last time I was that end of terminal (a few months ago), we just continued on to the Pier F.

As a mere WP, the HKG Qantas International lounge is, for me, a low priority.

Maybe the reason for there being space to spread out is many eligible PAX prefer the other lounges.

If I were in Qantas Business class or Qantas Gold flying Qantas economy, I'd be heading for the EK lounge.

Also the article mentioned the Emirates lounge could be available to some PAX, but no further information provided.
Yes, as it is a Oneworld Lounges article, we opted to not include Emirates as it's not a Oneworld partner; however, Qantas FF have access to the Emirates lounge.

Thanks, I certainly appreciate your point of view and have noted that for further articles.

I quite like the QF lounge, nice views and quite comfortable seating, but no champagne.

I tend to go there after overstaying my welcome at the Deck and drinking them dry (almost) of the Laurent Perrier. I have established a good relationship with the head bartender there after several recent visits.

But I do find the QF lounge to be a more comfortable space, despite its poorer alcohol and food offerings.

Never thought I'd say that.

It’s been reported over at FT that its since opened up to OWE elites as well - ill check and report back when I pay through 29th Apr! 🙂
