Anyone else flying on Christmas Day?

Do the Dom QPs serve alcohol on Xmas Day?
I don't see why not. :)
Certinaly should be available Christmas day, but the date can influence things.

Some years ago I had to wait until boarding QF93 for my initial 'Sip' as I was traveling on ANZAC day and the First Lounge could not serve any alcohol until noon.

Flying on Boxing day here.

Once got to celebrate my birthday twice flying SYD - HNL. Flight must have left mid-evening the day before my birthday. Ticked over and celebrate on my flight. Then got to celebrate again the following day in Kauai.
I have twice crossed the International Dateline (coming west from N America) on my wedding anniversary, so I reckon my wife has been married to me for two years longer than I have been married to her. She says it certainly feels like that!

For me it would be nice to be flying on Xmas day, but unfortunately for me it is that other pleasurable thing (not).....working.....and no overtime for me either
We are flying QF 1 (SYD-LHR) on Christmas Day: good availability, good price, good alibi for an excessively-extended Family Christmas! I hope it's better than my only previous Christmas Day flight (Air Pacific SYD-NAN rescheduled from Boxing Day): someone in Air Pathetic forgot to tell catering, forgot to tell the techs to reconnect my seat squab to the frame, and forgot to arrange accommodation for a plane full of people in Nadi. I got the feeling the crew weren't feeling any better about the sudden change to their plans either but they did their best.

My wife and I emigrated to Australia 10 years ago from LHR on Christmas Day on a QF/BA code share and were a little concerned that we'd be with a load of miserable crew who didn't want to be working. It turned out to be the complete opposite. Long haul staff were (at the time) offered the option to bring a partner if the flight wasn't full who could enjoy their stopover in Singapore with them (pre the emirates deal). The cabin crew were charming, helpful and generally delightful. Coupled with a third empty flight made for a very enjoyable experience with a party atmosphere for those who wanted it and the ability to sleep for those who didn't.

OMG!!!!!!!

I'm not flying on Christmas day but will be flying home from the US on 27/12
Christmas day will be on my own in SFO

OMG!!!!!!!

Last year (or the year before, can't really recall) I had to spend Chrissie day at HI-CNS. I'd just come off a flight and was not hungry, but had to order a "meal" to buy a drink ... so the meal was the smallest thing on the menu (and as I recall, was awful) and the drink was a bloody big bottle of overpriced sparkling, but after 16 days in a dry province, what's a guy supposed to do?

Christmas day last two years, this year 23/12 and 24/12. Laughing!

I made a mistake. Flights have been/will be 17,18,21,22 & 23 December. I actually get Christmas eve, Christmas and Boxing Day at home (well next best thing, Sheraton Mirage Main Beach)! Scored exceptionally well this year!

I’ve just checked in online for SQ flight on Dec 24 for me and the fam-bam. Back to Brissy for the week and then back to Singapore on Jan 1. We actually enjoy flying on these days as it can be unusually quiet and the price is so much more attractive than the rest of the Xmas period.

In lounge in Bogota, done one flight already, board the next leg to SCL in an hour, then connect to the flight over to SYD, then on to BNE. For me it will be Ho Ho Ho in the sky for the next 36 hrs
Good luck!
This is a terrible time to pass his on ... but the last time I did a similar itinerary, the QF flight from SYD-SCL never got away from SYD so we were all shipped off to the Crowne Plaza in downtown SCL for 24 hours. Hope you really DO get to Ho-Ho-Ho all the way without an unnecessary pause. [I can recommend a great wine-bar/restaurant just near the Crowne Plaza if you need it! – BocaNariz]

Count me in, I am flying tomorrow as well, let's see how quiet the VA MEL lounge will be tomorrow morning.

Christmas Eve for us, only domestic QF. Last year there were 3 pax in the lounge dressed as elves - it’s an interesting, fun and potentially frustrating time to fly :) I would like to do a long haul J/F for Christmas Day one year.

Flew out at lunchtime today and the airport was very peaceful, including QF Business Lounge. Flight to MCY was on time and a complimentary wine/beer service was provided. Much easier travel than expected - most people must have left yesterday.

Christmas Daytrip SYD-BNE has begun and in the SYD QF J Lounge.

Better half was mortified they had no champagne to drink at 8:30 am - "But it's Christmas" she stammered and joked that this would be our first spat of the day!

Cathay Pacific lounge menus in HKG have a Christmas lunch. Ham, turkey, brussels sprouts and mince pies. Quite yummy. The Cosmopolitan coughtail hit the spit nicely too.

having Christmas evening (?) snack in the J lounge at SYD, waiting to board for BNE. Merry Christmas everyone!! :)
