Looks like they may have caught onto this. Minimum insured is now 200k so about $18pm min
$50000 option still available. You may not be following the correct link.

Thought I'd ask and see if anyone's managed to apply for the min. life insurance and received 20K points without the targeted offer mail?

Was a struggle trying to get through 1800 237 300 this afternoon for some reasons.

Received my offer in the mail last night and applied for the $50k minimum. $46 for 20k MR too good to refuse. Thanks to this thread for bringing this offer to my attention.

Just signed myself up and will do hubby on his own card - works out $5.25p/m for each of us and first month free. $60 for 40,000 points is awesome and just in nick of time since offer expires on 30th June.

This is the last 'lump' of points we need for our 400k point goal (for 2 x reward business to US) and will take the sting out of the 'no specific reason' Virgin Money/Citi decline couple of days ago!

Just received an email from Zurich actually declining my application after it had been accepted instantly. I might let this one go through to the keeper since I wasn't seriously looking at it for long term coverage. Shane about to easy 20k MR. Anyone else received a knock back after the event?

I got knocked back on my second application with a different card but same details

Got my 20k right after 1st premium payment is cleared. My cover is $25pm, so planning to cancel the cover asap but will carry a risk if they exercise the 6 month clause. When I signed up on the phone, they didn't mention anything about the 6 month thing though.

I had the amex/Zurich life product in the past a couple of years ago so hopefully I can still get the points.
Also would it work if my wife gets a policy but uses my card ie will I get 2 lots of 20k points? Any experience with this?

Terms state one lot of points per account.

So if you have 4 amex cards, apply with Main holder on one card, and the rest use different supplimentries on each of the card, you get 4x20k?

Supps are ineligible for this - so you'd need to have multiple amex accounts (i.e. Edge + Explorer)

No, one per account. A supplementary card is NOT a separate account.

Couple of queries

- Would the $20 K be applicable on the AmEx Velocity Platinum?
- Payment options provided are monthly and annual - do I need to pay the annual fee for quick crediting of points?

- Yes
- Pay the annual amount of you want the pts straight away. Pay the mthlt amount if you're happy to wait until the 1st monthly payment in 30 days time.

I don't think anyone knows which cards are definitely included just yet. Bank AMEX are definitely out though.

Why would you pay the full annual fee? Yes you get your points more quickly but if you intend to cancel quickly you may not get any money back and you may have your points reversed.

From the email of the offer I received. My bolding relating to eligible cards.
