I deleted the email from AMEX that contained this offer without even reading it. So thanks to the OP for pointing it out, as it is a pretty good deal!

Forgot to ask during my phone call today, any idea if the promo is valid for supplementary cards?

This is an interesting question. I also wonder if taking out another policy on a different card would result in a 2nd bonus.

The terms I got via email state - "Offer only available to new American Express Ezicover Insurance Policy Holders" and further on "Bonus Points will be allocated once per Card account" so by that logic a 2nd account with a supp looks to be okay, but not another policy for yourself on a different account. I haven't asked though...

American Express reserves the right to reverse your points should you cancel your policy within 6 months of the commencement date <-- Interesting note in T&C's

I received the email the other week but didn't give it a second look. Turns out it's $5.23/month for me so could be worth it. Assuming no need for promo code?

Ok...I applied. A lot of youngsters on AFF as my premium was a bit higher than most here ;). $76 for 20K points is ok in my books :). Can someone remind me to cancel after 6 months pls?!!

That was my other question.. Is there a promo code to enter on the 'Get a quote' page?

No no promo code required.

Does anyone know if the points come in straight away?

Also I just applied under my name using my Amex, can I then apply for insurance for the wife using her supplementary card to get double the points?

I called to ask about supp cards and they are NOT eligible for this promo. Must be separate account.

So we will definitely get the 20k points even though it doesnt mention the points at signup?

Just to be clear then, with me as the primary account holder for both cards:

 • I could take insurance for me on the Charge card;
 • take out insurance for the wife on the Edge; and
 • score bonus points for both?
