Adding my link here - MGM Error Page

My favourite redemption on this card has been the SPG award nights. Lot of people do chase and find value in flying Business or First, but I have had some amazing stay using these points, for ex -

A. 5 nights in Maldives Sheraton during peak XMAS season (Paid extra 11K points to get free upgrade from standard deluxe room to Island cottage with open bath). street value at time of booking was about A$1200/night. Points burned 222K AMEX MR.
B. 5 nights at Walt Disney World Dolphin. Street value at time of booking $A400/night.Points burned 80K AMEX MR.
C. 5 nights at Marriott Miami. Points burned 90K AMEX MR converted into SPG and then transferred onto Marriott.
D. Work in progress to have enough points to book a 5 night stay for the next vacay.
E. Pursue one of the many SPG dream redemption of staying at AL Maha, Dubai. 78K AMEX MR points/night when booked during SPG promotion (39K SPG Points) or 120K MR points without sale.

As you can see AMEX has provided some fantastic experiences and now I am quiet point poor. To pursue the above I have used a mix of EXPLORER, DJ (for both my partner and self). Please use my link and hit me up with any questions that you may have with respect to redeeming these points.

Cheers and many thanks for reading my experience.

The AMEX Explorer is by far my favorite card. It single handedly made my honeymoon possible - and for that I am ever grateful.

1 SPG / 3 Marriott points per $1 can easily yield amazing value in both hotel stays and air travel.

We recently stayed at the fantastic JW Marriott Phu Quoc when the cash rate was ~$900/night for only 16.6k AMEX MR points per night! Meaning this 60k sign-up bonus plus points from $3k of spend would be enough for 5 nights! (5th night free on award stays)

Disclaimer: You earn 60k Amex MR points and I receive 30k for your successful application.

The Explorer Credit Card | AMEX Australia
Great to know but when you use a referral link, it still says the recipient only gets 60K pts...hopefully this is updated soon so I can try and convince more family and friends to sign up :)
Great card. My referral is below if anyone is interested :) You will get 100,000 points and I'll get 30,000 referral points :)

Maybe referral links are no more?

Anyway 100,000 points are excellent value in my book. But if you can get more by using a referral link/or assist another AFF member to gain some points then I'd support that.

I'm still out of the AMEX game for another 17 months. Unless AMEX reduce the 18 month exclusion period or someone reports here that they've had an AMEX within 18 month and got the bonus when they applied for this card.

It seems that whenever they boost the offers, there seems to be a lag in the referral links boosting as well.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

All the benefits of the card detailed above but basically:

60,000 bonus Gateway points on offer after $1,500 spend... Transfer to Airline programs (KrisFlyer, Velocity, Asia Miles, Emirates, Etihad, Malaysian, Thai or Air NZ).

My referral link http://amex.com.au/refer/markwOETJ

Jump in while it lasts and nab 100,000 bonus Gateway points on offer after $3,000 spend within 3 months. This represents excellent value for those accumulating either KrisFlyer, Velocity or Asia Miles – being equivalent to 75,000 points in each of these programs. (Also can transfer to Emirates, Etihad, Malaysian, Thai or Air NZ).

Earn 2 Gateway reward points (equivalent to 1.5 velocity/krisflyer points ) per $1 spend (excl govt bodies - 0.5 gateway points per $. Although keep an eye out as some can be paid using Paypal via Postbillpay for the full earn rate). Some people still are having luck linking this card to the Ascent awards program - which ups effective earn rate to 2 FF points per dollar.

Includes $400 travel credit, frequent amex statement credits, 2 American Express Airport Lounge entries and smartphone screen insurance which more than cover the $395 annual fee.

Anyway here’s the link, would appreciate anyone using it to sign-up. Apply by 11th April to avail of this offer.

As referrer, I receive 30,000 points

Great card. My referral is below if anyone is interested :) You will get 100,000 points and I'll get 30,000 referral points :). Note: if you currently hold or have held an Amex issued Amex card within the last 18 months, you are ineligible for this offer. Bank issued Amex cards don't preclude you from this offer.

The AMEX Explorer needs no introduction - simply the best card going around in my mind. With a 100k Gateway Membership Rewards point bonus, famous for its 1 SPG pdd earn as well as 4:3 conversion rate to a number of airline points. This is a card you need to jump on if you haven't had a direct-issued AMEX in the past 18 months.

The $395 annual fee is offset by the generous $400 travel credit.

Newsflash!

The big AMEX bonuses are back and that means the time to apply is now! Of course I’m talking specifically about the fantastic Explorer card which is currently offering an amazing 100,000 AMEX MR Points sign up bonus until 9 April! And if you are kind enough to sign up through my referral link below I will receive 30,000 bonus points too! What could be better than a couple of points junkies helping each other out?!!

http://amex.com.au/refer/jameshFLW0

What does the card offer you might ask?

-Earn 2 MR pts per dollar spent on almost everything with no pts cap
-$400 travel credit each year which can be used on AMEX Travel for flights, accommodation or activities
-2 free visits to the AMEX Lounge at SYD
-0% balance transfer for 12 months
-The usual suite of complimentary travel insurance
-Free smartphone screen insurance
-$395 annual fee which is conveniently offset by the travel credit above
-Up to 4 free supplementary cards – perfect for taking advantage of those great AMEX cash back offers!
-Note that the usual 18 month exclusion period applies so if you currently hold or have held in the last 18 months and directly issued AMEX card you will not be eligible for the sign on bonus

What do you need to do to take up this offer?

-Click on my referral link and follow the application process.
-Spend $3,000 on the card in the first 3 months – think you might struggle to spend this much? Send me a private message and I will give you a cheap, quick way to meet this criteria!
-Sit back and rub your hands together with glee as you wait for the bonus points to hit your account!

It’s that simple folks!

This is quite simply the best AMEX card on the market and with the massive sign up bonus on offer, adding this card to your coughnal is really a no brainer!

But NoName, why should I use your link?

-As mentioned above, if you use my link we both win!
-As many will recall Mrs NoName and I ate our way across the USA in mid-2016. We gorged ourselves on all manner of cuisine. While we may have come back a half dozen kilos heavier, our points balance came back a whole lot lighter! With a return to the United States Of Eating confirmed for August, the final pieces of the points puzzle are being put into place. A couple of referrals here will put me over the top and ready to eat, drink, fly and stay. Naturally, my exploits will be shared with the forum!

Thank you again for your kind consideration and help with achieving my points goal. My referral link awaits below:

Throwing my referral link out there. This is my favourite card. 60,000 membership rewards points when you spend $1,500 within the first three months, two entries to the Amex Lounge at SYD international, and my favourite (and well used) feature - Smartphone Screen Insurance up to $500 twice a year, if the phone or contract is paid using the card (particularly handy for the iPhone X whereby Apple charge $418.95 for a replacement screen if you don't have AppleCare!!!)

My referral link is here - Referral Link - Amex Explorer

The $395 annual fee is immediately offset by the $400 travel credit, which can be used for airlines, hotels, hire cars. Full disclosure, I get 30,000 points for referring you.

Best ever credit card - Amex Explorer.

You'll be awarded 100,000 Gateway points after your first $3000 spend within first 3 months.

This credit card comes with $400 travel credit P.A which offsets the $395 annual fee, and makes this credit card basically a free annual fee card. It also comes with smartphone screen insurance, purchase protection insurance & travel insurance, in addition you get 2 x free lounge access to Sydney American Express every year.

It would be greatly appreciated if you apply via this link, this would make my first business class oversea trip dream come a lot sooner. http://amex.com.au/refer/mengzcEBk

Please do make sure that your account is link to gateway rewards before using this card (e.g., if it is linked to ascent rewards, you will have to call amex and re-link to gateway before you can get the bonus points), I'll receive 30,000 rewards points for this referral.

Happy to answer all amex related queries, cheers.

The referral offer is back to 100000 points for the applicant. I would say this is the best Credit Card Australia has ever seen(when linked with Ascent). $400 travel credit which is probably best used for legacy carrier flights to get maximum value. Even if you do not manage to link with Ascent, SPG earn is the same in the gateway program. I will receive 30000 points if you use the referral link below.
