I’m a big fan of the Amex Explorer having held it for over 2 years now and would like to throw my link into the mix as I’ve recently depleted my Points Balance on Etihad business upgrades and an upcoming Thai First class redemption which I’m looking forward to!

I can also personally vouch for the insurance cover on the card too, having had to claim on a scratch on a rental car abroad- absolutely no hassle with the refund.

I would recommend pairing the Explorer with the Platinum Edge (I got mine via a referral on the forum) to maximise fuel and grocery points earning- it’s also available with the same referral link.

Use of the link will earn me 30,000 points.

Cheers guys, happy Points earning!

This is a wonderful card that has a great 100k bonus points deal on right now until April11th 2018. Minimum spend to achieve this is $3k over the first 3 months.

Along with the bonus points you receive $400 Amex travel credit, travel insurance, smart phone screen insurance, car hire excess insurance, 2 entries to Amex lounges and so much more... all for $395pa fee...so you are actually making money by having this Amex card

...what a deal!

I would be very grateful if you choose to click on my referral link and share the points love. We travel as a family so points x4 people adds up.

DH and myself have used many referral offers from this forum and will continue to do so as it brings us such joy to enable others to travel, especially up the pointy end.

(I will receive 30k bonus points if you are kind enough to apply via this link)

Happy travels!

For those following - note that I do not have an active link on this or another thread for this card or for any other AMEX card. So my purpose is not to suggest you use my referral link as apposed to another members. I'd like to actively support the free exchange of information rather than a cabal and encourage other members to do so as well. AFF has been an extremely useful forum for me over the past couple of years primarily because information has been freely shared and I'd hate to see it now become some type of secretive society where its basis is quid pro quo.

100% agreed!
I had a guy who said if I transferred him $200 he would use my referral link
pfft, get stuffed.

I hope you reported the member to the Admin's. And I'd encourage you to name the member. That conduct is outrageous.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You can report conversations. No need for a public name a shame, just needs to go to the moderators. If they asked you, they probably asked others.

All the benefits of the card detailed above but basically:

100,000 bonus Gateway points on offer after $3,000 spend within 3 months... Transfer to Airline programs (KrisFlyer, Velocity, Asia Miles, Emirates, Etihad, Malaysian, Thai or Air NZ).

$400 fee but you get that back in travel credit.

Appreciate anyone using my referral link. :)

I must say what a wonderful card the Explorer card is. By linking the explorer card to the platinum edge card, I have been able to max out the points earned via spent at the Supermarkets (3 points/$), Petrol Stations (2 points/$) and 1 point/$1 for other purchases.
By maxing out my spent on the Amex Explorer card, I have been able to commute between Australia and Singapore regularly to lighten the load on my mum as my dad is currently bedridden and suffering from cancer and he has recently been diagnosed with early stage of dementia too.

The points accumulate thus far has allowed me to fly back to Singapore regularly as I have taken a year off from work to look after my dad. Unfortunately, I have to fly in Y class as I have to conserve my points balance in order to allow me to fly back frequently.

By signing up to this card via my referral. You will get 100,000 Gateway points and I will get 30,000 gateway points. Remember to link it to the Platinum edge card to max out the points earned. By linking the two cards (from the gateway program to the ascent program), you get an immediate 33% uplift in points value.

Is this still possible? I agree that the two cards are great in combo, linked or not, however I have been unable to link mine as they are in different rewards programmes. I’ve called twice to try to do it in the last 12 months and have been told it was impossible on both occasions.

I don't hold the Explorer at present, but plenty of comments around this forum with success linking them. In saying that, in many instances it seems you have to continue to persist until you get the right CSR on the phone.

I recently used the referral link provided by ChrisFlyer to apply for a new card. He’s confirmed he's received the 30,000 bonus points.

I’d really appreciate my link now being used by someone else. You’ll receive 100,000 points and I’ll receive 30,000 points.

Down to the last couple of weeks for this offer. If you haven't already jumped on the Explorer bandwagon, there is no time like the present!

I would be most appreciative if anyone uses my referral link.
