Alternative to TripIt = TripWaffle

They always shows as arcs on the map, as we can't know what route you'll take. At least thats the rationale.
I completely understand - and anticipated - the rationale.
Everything below this line is just throwing ideas around.

I understand the rationale but it doesn't look good.
Compared to the train trips which I have to say look absolutely fantastic.
However, obviously there is certainty there because trains follow fixed routes - I believe they're called "tracks". 🤣

I also understand that it would be ridiculous for Tripwaffle to try to duplicate a GPS app.
Let google maps and all the other maps apps do their thing, and you do yours.

Further, according to my cursory research it is impossible to directly export a route from google maps.
However I have identified two possible work-arounds.
One would be to share a route. However that would probably require too much interaction between Tripwaffle and google maps.
The other would be to allow users to send in a GPX file. Tripwaffle would still need to parse it but that wouldn't be interactive.

Enough of me thinking out loud.
Back to job hunting!

I should note that I have used various ways to track my travels.
I started with an Excel spreadsheet, which I also used to track and plan earning and retaining status with airlines.
Then I used openflights, both the version which used to be part of this forum, and, subsequently, the original site.
And as I have previously observed, I used TripCase for my upcoming trips.
I have also stored my flight data in FlightRadar24, Flighty, Flights25 and a few other apps/sites I can't immediately recall.

However, TripWaffle is the first app/site which has provoked me to try to upload everything: flights, accommodation, trains, car hire, ferries and so on.

I haven't added my flights to as many platforms, but made an effort with Flightradar24.

It seems my.flightradar24.com has been down for quite some time. Possibly due to the recent PHP vulnerabilities.
For now, tripwaffle is my go-to as well. Especially with the responsiveness of the human/robots on the team to ensure quality of life improvements for the app.

First time using Tripwaffle and I’m liking it a lot, only had one small issue sending in a flight booking from booking.com where it picked up two out of three of the flights from TOS-OSL-ARN-KRN. Pretty simple fix just manually added in the middle flight.
Also imported all past flights from MF24 without a hitch.
Never used tripit, but this has now replaced three apps/programs, I used to have AwardWallet to keep an eye on flights, my flightradar 24 for past flights and Tripomatic to research trips, hopefully this can replace them all, keep up the good work and thanks for all your efforts @tripwaffle

Wonderful to hear, thank you.

Booking.com processing has been improved to catch those middle flights now (the email didn't specify middle times).

Also, you may want to double check that middle flight you added manually as I don't think it's flight number matches what was in the email?

Just shout if anything could be better, of course.

Yes you are right, SAS cancelled the flight and updated it in their app (where I got the new flight details from) Good pick up, and probably why it didn’t work, I was so busy with it today setting it all up and importing data so missed that detail.
