ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Hi I am currently at 52 nights for the calendar year so have 8 nights to go to back to Platinum. Have 3 nights booked in Sydney at Christmas and 2 nights in Melbourne for Boxing Day test. That leaves me 3 nights to get to platinum before 31 December 2025.

We live in Brisbane and have looked at booking 3 nights on different dates before we go to Sydney on 23 December. Best rates I can get are at the Ibis Budget Brisbane Airport around $140 a night. To me $420 is worth to get back to Platinum.

My question is does stays at Ibis Budget count towards nights stayed. I have googled this and get mixed advice. Some say yes I will and others say I will not. Any comments or advice? Thanks

Tightening up/exclusion of benefits was bound to happen given rates were as little as $40-$60/night 😂
The haven't tightened - they were loosened. At one point no Ibis Budget in Australia participated, but when some hotels changed hands, the new owner decided to have them in the program.

Note Dubbo was sold and no longer Ibis

If you want it in 2026 then I suggest you not renew until 2 Jan.
the answer from the telemarketing is, the status night is added on the next day of the payment done.. which means someone can get platinum (60 status night) only by subscribing accor+ (last year it was added 20 on Jan25 and 10 on Oct25) if renew 30 will be added on dec25 - the telemarketing said some people already got the platinum status from this...

but i still asking I want it to be added on January although I paid it on Dec (to get 4000 reward points for renewal on Dec25), so same as the FAQ in the accorplus website which is "first day of new membership year for renewing member" = 01/01/2026).. currently no conclusion yet..

The system is now limited to a maximum of 30 nights per year, and in the case of Accor explorer, will only add the nights bonus up to that limit if none were credited in the calendar year already. I had 10 nights from my Ibis card, so I received 20 nights.
