ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Any recent experience with how long AMEX complimentary membership takes to process? I want to book a hotel but its taken at least 7 days and still pending and no idea if or when it will be processed.

I paid cash and have been waiting 19 days. Nobody answers the phone or responds to my emails or Messenger chats or WhatsApp chats. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

To update the thread, and as pointed out by bits, it took about 3 weeks to come through.

Can I ask for experiences with the food and dining discount? Is it automatically applied on check out or do I need to show it each time I eat in a hotel restaurant? Curious as it seems the membership number for the gold status is different to the +. Any experiences with how to get the best use of the benefit would be welcome. I am giving accor properties a go for the first time in ages.

You don't need to, but to be safe, mention at the time of ordering that you intend to use the discount; otherwise when settling the account at the restaurant; its not automatically applied. At the BNE Pullman, I was refused discount because I didn't do it when ordering - although the issue was quickly fixed by them taking the grog off the bill!

Oh wow! Thanks. I thought I could just order, put it on my room, and get the discount applied on check out. Sounds like I had better give advance notice each time.

You will need to show your card during the dining process either before ordering or when obtaining the bill.

If you are staying longer at at a hotel the staff might only require you to show it once and then will record it for use during the duration of your stay which does come in handy if the property has several restaurants/bars

Hi I am currently at 52 nights for the calendar year so have 8 nights to go to back to Platinum. Have 3 nights booked in Sydney at Christmas and 2 nights in Melbourne for Boxing Day test. That leaves me 3 nights to get to platinum before 31 December 2025.

We live in Brisbane and have looked at booking 3 nights on different dates before we go to Sydney on 23 December. Best rates I can get are at the Ibis Budget Brisbane Airport around $140 a night. To me $420 is worth to get back to Platinum.

My question is does stays at Ibis Budget count towards nights stayed. I have googled this and get mixed advice. Some say yes I will and others say I will not. Any comments or advice? Thanks

hi all, would like to ask about this..

ALL Accor+ Explorer members receive 30 status nights (and instant Gold status) every year as long as they keep their membership current.

New members: Receive 30 status nights within 24 hours of the membership being created.

Renewing members: Receive 30 status nights the first day of their new membership year.

I have accor+ membership which is ending on 31/12/2025, when will I got the 30 status night? is it on Dec 2025 or Jan 2026? last year renewal I got 30 status night on 2025 (20 on january and 10 on october 2025).

The ALL app says that you do earn here. I would check directly with them to be totally sure.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it will, as the list on Accor’s website shows all ibis budget hotels are excluded, except those in Cambodia, Georgia, Japan, Mexico, Poland, and South Korea.

Ibis Budget chain is part of the accor network - stays nights previously counted. [Looks like they changed the T&C somewhere in 2025 as per above. Can confirm I got nights/points credited for ibis budgets in casula in 2023; and Japan in 2024. Have not stayed at a ibis budget anywhere in 2025]

FYI Ibis Styles 23-27 Dec is currently red-hot rate, $432 for the 3 nights. Nice hotel in city centre.

ok, then thanks. I am asking because currently I got offer if I renew it on December, I will got 2x2000 reward points instead of 2000 rewards point (for newly join). don;t know this offer is still valid on January 2026 or not..

also I don't know the 30 status night will be added also as the maximum per year is 30 status night right? I already got 30 status night for 2025 (Jan and Oct).. can get 60 status night only from accor+? really confusing.. :(

Absolutely incorrect.
Some don’t partake in the program.
Ibis Budget Sydney Airport is one that I know of that doesn’t partake in the program and there is probably others
Not under consideration for the OP, but Ibis Budget Auckland Airport is another property that can be booked via Accor channels but does not earn status nights or points.

@moffat39 I’d email the property directly. That way you have the response in writing should you need to rely on it.
