ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

Any recent experience with how long AMEX complimentary membership takes to process? I want to book a hotel but its taken at least 7 days and still pending and no idea if or when it will be processed.

I paid cash and have been waiting 19 days. Nobody answers the phone or responds to my emails or Messenger chats or WhatsApp chats. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

To update the thread, and as pointed out by bits, it took about 3 weeks to come through.

Can I ask for experiences with the food and dining discount? Is it automatically applied on check out or do I need to show it each time I eat in a hotel restaurant? Curious as it seems the membership number for the gold status is different to the +. Any experiences with how to get the best use of the benefit would be welcome. I am giving accor properties a go for the first time in ages.

You don't need to, but to be safe, mention at the time of ordering that you intend to use the discount; otherwise when settling the account at the restaurant; its not automatically applied. At the BNE Pullman, I was refused discount because I didn't do it when ordering - although the issue was quickly fixed by them taking the grog off the bill!

Oh wow! Thanks. I thought I could just order, put it on my room, and get the discount applied on check out. Sounds like I had better give advance notice each time.

You will need to show your card during the dining process either before ordering or when obtaining the bill.

If you are staying longer at at a hotel the staff might only require you to show it once and then will record it for use during the duration of your stay which does come in handy if the property has several restaurants/bars
