OK, according to the Alaska Airlines partner page, Alaska Airlines MVP Gold members (which I am) can get entry for themselves and 2 guests in Qantas Internaltional Business lounges when travelling on Qantas flights.

According to the Qantas Lounge rules, two children between ages of 2-17 inclusive are welcome as non-guests, does that mean I get get my wife and three kids (17, 15, 12) in with me?

I'm just checking as sometimes there are some odd rule incompatibilities betwene airlines.

Thanks
Mike

Sorry can't help with your specific question but that sounds very generous guesting priviliges.

A Qantas Platinum/Oneworld Emerald can only guest 1 into International business lounges and guest 2 into domestic business lounges.

I think best to check with Qantas as you don't want to have issues at the entrance.

Thanks John,

Alaska Airlines is not a Oneworld member, and instead has a special arrangement with Qantas only in certain cities, and only for International Business Lounges. I will double check to make sure this is legit... Otherwise one of the kids may need to wait at reception with the helpful staff while the rest of us go in ;)

What is bizarre is this membership was transferred over from Virgin America...

I would not bother with that, any response has a good chance of varying with what may happen on the day.

I'd simply approach the entrance and nicely try for entry. If rebuffed, pleasantly accept it.

I think you'll be fine guesting 3 children into the lounge. I was simply quering the generous guesting priviliges.

Just confirming I used the Alaska MVP Gold FF entry in Sydney and Auckland successfully with three kids and one partner with no hassle whatsoever!!!

I’m over the moon...
