Are we allowed to accept any bribes for guesses past the deadline.

Good luck to the winner.

Only if the bribes are shared equally amongst the 11
(Scratching head)

Trying really hard to work out how we split a pair of SQ first PJ's. :?

No.... the bribe splitting only related to the bribes for guesses after the deadline.

The bribes should be in the form of cash, expensive bottles of red (at least 11), anything really as long as it's divisable by 11 :D

Alternately the bribe needs to be 11 of whatever the bribe is :!:

Shouldnt the bribe go to the suppliers of the prize?

Huh. :? Say again.

It is shared equally by those remaining in the contest.

Just over 700 posts to go. :)

NM has been eliminated. Serfty you are still alive for a few more days.

1 down, 10 to go.

My abacus tells me the favourites are Yada Yada, Metro Air, Mal and oz_mark if we maintain current posting rate on AFF.

AFF maintenance goes postal?

But your post was #19500 :?:
Nah.

My post was post sequence # 19500 but actual AFF post # 19280. This happens because currently there are 220 deleted posts which still have a post sequence # attached stored in the database, only flagged as deleted.

Don't get too smart. It doesn't really suit anyone that lives in NZ. :p

You know what I meant. And just in case you didn't know I have edited original post. :D

yes but if wanting to track down the time a particular 000th post is made it is a bit hard if going by post count on the main forum page - you may need to be logged on 24/7 to be sure

whereas it is trivial to lookup post #20,000 using the address for a specific post

Looks unedited to me.

I see - you hadnt actually edited when you said you had, but rather edited afterwards. Unfortunately either I can type faster, or have faster connection, so I could see through your plan.

Partly agree. To me the 20,000th post is the 20,000th active post. Otherwise someone with nothing to do can post, delete, post, delete which would keep incrementing the post sequence # and pad the actual posting count. :? Hang on that happens now.

Have a word to admin and see if they will change the software so that the post sequence #/post count is aligned.

Nup, more like a couple of hours.

I'll hopefully be in SYD T1 F lounge by then, so perhaps that will ease the pain!

You are having fun trying to replicate manic monday. :?

I am only on a very slow dialup connection and it takes a while to post and refresh.

I must say you are taking your impending demise rather stoically. What ails you that you only have a couple of hours to live, if you dont mind me asking?

So is SYD T1 F lounge heaven or hell?

You still have a couple of days according to the OP rules "3. The winning choice must be the one that is closest in date and time to the 20,000th post".

...
serfty_______01/02/06 @ 7:45pm (VIC time)
infoworks____05/02/06 @ 11:00pm (NSW time)

...

So based on rule 3 your territory ends halfway between your prediction and infoworks's prediction.
