If we're doing lunch I'll be coming from work in the CBD and returning home deep in the Shire, so a central location would be very much favoured by me. Having said that, I see that Via Napoli also has a Surry Hills branch - I assume it's just as good and also does BYO?

Via Napoli is excellent - great atmosphere, and I love those massive pizzas that run the length of a 12 seater table. If the Surrey Hills one in the same chain, then maybe we should aim for there. Thoughts?

Sounds good to me Wozza! Now we just need to fill up the 12 seater table ha ha

ha.. I like your thinking Dr Ralph! Why not? Let's roll the dice - do you have one you need assistance consuming? :)

I do actually. A special purchase from Lakes Folly. But it's being kept for opening on my 50th.

Sounds like a great way to celebrate a special occasion! Could you settle for a magnum until then? I am very happy to bring one along....

re: AFF Wine Lover Meet-Up [6 Jan 2016]

I do wine bar outings in Sydney with friends every 2-3 weeks just to explore (and to blog on my wine review site). I'd welcome AFFers if anyone else wants to join the fun.
Hi DrSammyLee - new places to drink wine/meeting new people who like new places to drink wine sounds fun :D if it works that some of us are around and would like a pre January warmup... that could be a good idea!

I'm doing Bambini Trust Restaurant & Wine Room tomorrow with my usual crowd but will be sure to give earlier notice for AFFers for the next wine bar gathering I'll organize. There are a lot of wine bars just in the CBD area so plenty of options!

That would be great, DrSammyLee. I am guessing the powers that be will be happy for you to put up details of your next meet up, and AFFs can confirm if they are coming so you can look out for them.

No doubt we'll be corrected if this is not the case ...

Id jump onboard this. Hopefully a late 20yr old wont be too out of place.
Will also be travelling back to gods country with katy.... :p

Agreed. I am thinking:

Venue: Via Napoli (Surrey Hills) (so people are fairly close to transport to get home)

Time: Lunchtime (and the afternoon) [but shout me down if this doesn't work for you - the consensus will win]

Date: Wednesday 6 January 2016

Theme: [Italian Wines] [Pinot Noirs under $40] [Other?] (yet to be agreed)
