Yes CSL has quite a bit of pain to endure as they adjust to a changed world.
It took a bit longer for QPM to wake up than I expected.
MND is a disaster for anyone who gets it so we went for NUZ in their placement today. Petra has an analyst in the medical field who picked AYA for us at 42 cents.
We went to a Harry Perkins lunch meeting today and heard from 5 exciting presenters.
One scientist at our table has a project that dissolves plaque in arteries and they are setting up manufacturing the solution in Australia.

In every 6 months to re-balloon stents

Asked cardio about difference between old style stents and new drug eluting stents.
Mentioned frequent ballooning with older stents ( thinking of you)
He was very surprised at that frequency.. not sure he believed me...

I will keep you in mind @prozac as I have an unwritten warranty from my quadruple bypass 31 years ago. I would love to have clear arteries and veins as I get older. The medications I have to take make me almost rattle when I walk.
We may get to the US in time to hear an interest rate cut. Of course that may not happen.
This morning I sat with a group of older folks for a few minutes. Their view on Australia is that we are no longer the “lucky country”.
Someone sold us one share in Acumentis which is ACU. They are valuers and they have turned the corner after having their files hacked several years ago. Our treasurer may get them busy if he keeps on with the unrealized profits tax ideas.

I have modern drug-eluting stents and when re-ballooned we use drug eluting balloons. Had it done at Christmas and told it would be good for 9 yrs. Don't know where he got that idea from but I was back in in July., 80-90% blocked.

We received 75% allocation in the NUZ placement so that was ok. Should have a reasonable news flow over the next several months.

I've been saying for a while that Australia has gone from being the "lucky country" to being the "dumb country" after things like the fiasco with gas on the east coast where the companies were allowed to ship it all out from Gladstone with no requirement to reserve some for the domestic supply network - which has pushed up gas and electricity prices and forced manufacturing businesses to close down. Just think how much money could have been made in Australia if all of that gas that is being exported was instead being downstream processed into petrochemicals etc in Australia. Now we have the ridiculous situation where Victoria is looking at importing gas from overseas.

As long term holders of Brickworks which was BKW they finally merged into SOL and are now 82% rate in SOLDA. I think there was a proposal to do this about 12 years ago.
Thought about buying more NUZ but was too jet lagged to do that.

I have been looking at Droneshield (DRO) for some time. I have not pulled the trigger as I am concerned it has already had it's run albeit on the back of significant contracts. I had a chance ecounter yesterday with someone involved in testing and they informed me DRO staff numbers have gone from 180 a year ago to 400 now.
AEE still on an upward trajectory.

According to the person I spoke with unlisted US company Anduril is DROs only direct competitor. My broker is not keen on DRO.
There are a lot of players out there in counter drone tech space.

Anduril does all sorts of stuff - including some significant projects with the ADF.

With Australian costs it is pretty difficult to compete in the world market as we have high wages, payroll tax, land tax, superannuation, long service leave, state governments hungry for income and miscellaneous other problems.
Just buying land in California puts CBO out about 3 to 4 years from big results provided water , pest and fire issues are resolved.
The good news is olives can be harvested by machines.

It's not feasible to pipe more qld gas to Vic (as is at capacity) to cope with Victoria's dwindling supply. And it's just silly wasting energy and the cost to chill gas to minus 160C and shipping to Vic when Vic (and nsw) already has abundant gas underground.

Vic old gas fields are depleting and simultaneously prohibits new gas extraction. Santos has undertaken to supply 100% of the gas from proposed Narrabri field for domestic only... still can't get nsw gov approval. Qld approves new gas fields, then nsw and vic gov winges it hasn't been reserved for them but won't themselves approve new gas fields. Yes agree, the "dumb country ".

I suspect one of the reasons for the withdrawal of the Santos takeover was dealing with the politics.

yes, including approving one of the LNG plants on condition they would be allowed to purchase gas shortfall on domestic market to ship overseas

prohibiting onshore, yet there's a Transoceanic rig in Bass strait with approvals to drill and pipe gas to Vic at significantly higher cost.
