Qatar Air Privilege Club Restricts Redemption Nominees

This silly restriction has now been lifted. You no longer need to credit a flight to QR to add people to your nominee list.

Yep just tried it, and the T&Cs reflect the changes, cant find any mention of the previous requirements:

(I had planned to credit a virgin flight to QR next month to get around the restrictions, probably will still do that just in case they come back)

Family and Friends appears to still have the restrictions:

I can confirm this. I have added my wife, and my 2 kids to my Family List this morning, and I have no flights credited to QR account. I could not do this last week.

Oh interesting, I just pasted above the F&F T&Cs hadnt changed, perhaps the website hasnt been updated yet

OMG. I flew in to Melbourne from Bali last week and flew straight out to Sydney and back to unlock the List. Geez….
