Bought another 10,000 Metcash today

Swings and roundabouts, I dumped a holding a few years back out of frustration , don't think it was a loss but may have been...really forgotten

My holding has an average cost base of just under $25 per share and it’s a HOLD for now and for some time I expect. Maybe a BUY if China gets its act together.
 
The real estate downturn in China is causing Chinese real estate investors in the US, Canada and China to become net sellers in these markets. This is likely to take quite a while to fix.

The RE issues and slowing China growth why I am leaving BHP and iron ore companies a miss atm.
 
Metcash have an IT issue and the computer upgrade folks nw have the cost at about three times the original budget.

I like how the CEO has taken ownership of the problem, which he inherited, and coming up with a solution that is not necessarily the original plan. It's going to cost a bit to fix but the end result will streamline the company imo.
 
China may be pulling the wine duty off Australian wine according to Treasury Wine this afternoon. Australia has a big overhang of wine at the moment.
 
Last night CBA Netbank was out. So Mrscove will be getting tested with her Bankwest branch closures. She is using our local post office as it is more reliable.
