I would have loved to attend. But we will be boarding our flight in Bologna on the 6th, to return home.
Hopefully it is successful and another one will be planned.

AFF is thrilled to announce that our inaugural in-person MasterClass will take place in Sydney on Saturday, 6 September 2025!

This ticketed event will take place at Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport from 11am until 5pm. Throughout the day, you’ll hear directly from three frequent flyer program and travel experts, with practical sessions designed to give you real-world strategies you can apply immediately. You'll also have an opportunity to quiz our experts in a Q&A session.

The guest speakers are:
  • Matt Graham (a.k.a @Mattg) - Australian Frequent Flyer Editor
  • Alan Lam (a.k.a. @madrooster) - one of Australia's most experienced and knowledgeable travel agents
  • Wilson McTaggart (a.k.a @WilsonM) - AFF writer and Frequent Flyer Concierge consultant
And from this day, you'll take away:
  • A better understanding of how to make the most of Qantas Frequent Flyer and Velocity
  • Insights into international loyalty programs that work well for Australians
  • Smart ways to book Business and First Class flights using points
  • Tips for earning and leveraging elite airline status
  • The know-how to build round-the-world itineraries and reduce taxes and fees
  • Confidence using tools like ExpertFlyer and Seats.aero
  • A deeper grasp of fare rules, routing tricks and sweet spots

Registrations are now open! The cost is $249 per person, which includes all of the sessions as well as tea, coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. However, if you register by 18 May 2025, you can get a special Early Bird price of just $159!

We are also offering a 50% discount (off the full price) to AFF Platinum members.
