AFF Gathering #18 in MEL on 21-23 November 2025

melbourne-2025.jpg

Save the date! The 2025 AFF annual member gathering will be in Melbourne from 21-23 November 2025.

There will be a welcome dinner on Friday evening, a more formal dinner with two fantastic guest speakers on Saturday evening, and optional activities throughout Saturday and Sunday.

All AFF members and their friends & family are welcome to attend. Most people usually fly into the host city on Friday afternoon, and leave on Sunday afternoon/evening. Of course, if you're a Melbourne local, the flying part is optional. ;)

You can read more about the planned activities, dinner venues and costs and post #2 of this thread.

There will be a $5 registration fee per participant, plus the cost of any activities and/or meals that you choose to join.

Registrations are now open and will close soon! If you'd like to attend, and haven't already done so, please complete the registration form by clicking on the link below. Once you've done this, please also post your flight/hotel details in this thread!

For those unfamiliar with the AFF terminology:
  • "Platinum" means your attendance is confirmed and you have booked flights/accommodation
  • "Gold" means you're likely to attend but will need to confirm at a later time
  • "Silver" means you're unlikely to attend at this stage
  • "Bronze" means you're unable to attend.
The entire AFF team looks forward to seeing you in November in Melbourne! :D

Platinum for Saturday! Melbourne local here, born and bred, can provide sightseeing recommendations on request

Unfortunately (but true to style) already have a live music event booked that clashes with Friday night...

The preparations or this weekend are coming along nicely, and we now have two fantastic guest speakers from the airline and loyalty program industries confirmed for the Saturday night dinner at Hyatt Centric.

I've also updated the attendee details in post #3 with the info posted up to here.

Just a reminder that if you would like to come along to this weekend, and haven't already done so, to please complete the registration form and post your flight/hotel details in this thread.

If your AFF username appears in post #3 of this thread, and you didn't receive a message from me yesterday reminding you to complete your registration, that means we have received your registration.

At this stage, we plan to start collecting payments for the dinner/activities early next month.

Updated flight details for me (QF schedule changes). Now arriving Fri 21/11 QF1292 1020-1145 and departing Sun 23/11 QF1295 1655-1815. Staying at the Pullman on the Park. And I'm sure there will be a list of which Saturday activity we have all selected as I can't remember my choice!

Accor is giving 20% off for stays of 2+ nights if you book in the app by 9 October.

I just cancelled my booking at Pullman on the Park and rebooked it in the app for almost $200 less (including the Accor Plus discount, which stacks with the app discount).
