I fully agree. However, until the new system kicks in, I need to be cognisant of the existing system - that why I am posting about it. These circumstances would not affect those such as you with an Accor Plus renewal date of after September anyway. With that, I have determined renewing in October would be beneficial to me than renewing in September.Dairyfloss's post was in 2023 and under the old T&Cs. The new T&Cs mean this operates differently, and the old 'best of the last two years' rule dies on 1 October. When 31 December rolls around, they'll look solely at how many nights you accrued in 2025 to determine 2026's status. Unless you already have a way to 30 nights this year, adding Accor Plus won't mean you get platinum next year.
