So with the new seat config on the A380 - I'm finding that the seat maps on EF aren't working..??

Is everyone else having the same issue?

I did a couple of weeks ago, but it worked for me a couple of days ago. Try QF10 from LHR on 14 October, that works for me.

See the following linked post and next 100 or so, there are some photos, for info on the economy seats (I may move some posts over here eventually):

Thanks Guys - will have another look.......

So can see Y seat maps for the next few months. But Mar-13 is giving an error for Y maps on EF.

Perhaps the configuration hasn't been loaded..??

While I could not see the seat map on E/F, I could see the configuration with seat selection on qantas.com - so I guess it had been loaded somewhere.

Well - yeah :)

You know me - I like to check my seat selection BEFORE I book :)

QF12 Oct ex LAX:
my son has a window seat in row 65 with an unoccupied seat beside (Seatguru shows no row 65 - toilets & exit row). Would row 65 have full recline with a bulkhead behind?
All the "good seats" are show as occupied in Check My Trip.
66B exit row opened today but is a middle seat but costs $180.
There's plenty of other window availabilty in rows 69-76 and another one forward of 65.
It may be hard to convince him to sit in an aisle seat. Should he stay in 65A?

seems you're on a 'new config' a380..quite likely many seatwebsites havnt updated seatmaps yet..the 'new' row65 indeed has the same recline as any other seats:)...i'd stick with row 65..no-one behind you...and the toilet noise/door wont be an issue..
....

Thanks for response, now if only 65B stays unoccupied.
Also watching UD incase someone upgrades or premium seats unblock.

Well I've snagged 32A in late Feb next year.

80A/K and 71D already taken.

48C available for $180.

I think I've chosen wisely ;)

I've got an old config A380 next year and have got 80A one way and 80K on the return.
71D was taken on both, and on one I had the choice of either 80A or K.
Looks like 71D is more popular? :D
I've only tried each once and prefer 80A/K - quieter with direct aisle access and without all the people asking "what'd you do to get that seat?"
The downside is you are one of the last to get off the plane.

No upper deck Y on these routes...

The 6 of us are slumming it in row 53 on Monday. I was going through the seat maps with the youngest daughter early. 4A of the 737 - "good you've got my seat". Get to the A380 - "53! Sheesh!" Didn't even notice it was about the 4th row on the seat map.

She lost all interest after that and didn't comment on row 24 on an A330.

Thanks to the tips on AFF I have 80k on my flight to LA in April.

Mind you I don't think it will be as good as 3A on the way back from London!!

I just came back on Sunday on QF94 in seat 80A.
It is a great seat, only comment, it does get a bit cold.... but I wrapped a blanket round my legs and all good.
I am 6' 4" so really appreciated not only the stretching space but the fact that no one could drop down in front of me.
The guy in 79C who paid extra $ for exit row was very brown about the fact that the hosties stood on his feet repeatedly.... so 80A/80K are much better value!

80A and K make it much easier for the CSM to slip you a drink while the rest of the cabin suffers the long wait :) (assuming you are WP :))

It's not just hosties - look upthread - 79C and 79H are almost directly in the firing line of an unsighted walk though a curtain.

Pardon my ignorance here, but why is there a curtain at row 79, aren't the curtains only used to separate classes?

To prevent the bulk of light from the galley entering the main cabin during night (sleeping) time flights.

Didn't pick a seat prior to OLCI for QF11 today (none of the good seats were available), the system automatically assigned me 71D during OLCI. Last I looked 71D was taken, though there was a new -> old config swap at the last minute. I would've thought whoever had 71D originally would've retained 71D??

Clearly Altea knows who I am! ;)
