After being happy with my first purchase points allocation I went to fill up at a BP servo yesterday at Oberon, I specifically went to the BP. When I went to pay they told me it would be a $2 surcharge for using my AMEX. I was not impressed as I figure Amex either have a campaign on or they don't. Needless to say I paid using Visa and am unlikely to use BP again.

Worked for me. I logged on to my Amex online portal and it worked fine.

I've been to many BP petrol stations and have never encountered an Amex surcharge. They must be a franchise.

With plat edge, double points and 5 extra bonus points. Sweet! $70 petrol fill = 490 points.

It's more a problem they don't know how to activate them as they never sell them.

I have purchased quite a few now but since I go to the same store they now know how to do it.

The first time it took 5 of them, yes 5 of them with the Manager about 10 mins to activate one card!

You can definitely use credit cards and they do sell them.

I'll stay with untrained as all of them were trying to get the cards through. They all said they had never sold one before in many years of working there!

the BP on greenhill road sells itune card. However, I just tried to buy a $200 bp gift card and the operator doesnt know how to activate it. he spent about 1/2 hr working through the procedures. Luckily, I had the time to wait, otherwise I will be fuming. In the end, he had to do a refund for the gift card.

I asked at the BP on northeast road I guess sort near Greenacres. I'll be sussing them out again this weekend I guess.

I have my regular station for gift cards now!

Had a new guy tonight, but he referred to the laminated sheet and it was done in about 3 minutes! He said he'd only been working there a few weeks and hadn't sold one before... But he did it as fast as he could and with a queue of about 7 people behind me huffing and puffing! :mrgreen::shock:

Wish I'd seen this thread a week earlier, paid a $600 AAMI insurance renewal on Monday, even used the Amex could have had an extra 6,000 bonus points

I registered for the BP offer, did my first fill last night and also purchased a $50 gift card. Shall be interesting to see if the bonus points post for the gift card ...

It was asked previously but not answered, do I need to somehow register my supp card for these offers separately (they are both linked to the same account)?
