22,101 miles.
17 flights but 14 one way trips. From PER to BME, KNX, SYD, MEL, BNE and HBA, those distances add up!
I have never calculated my annual mileage before, but will keep a record now. It is interesting (and fun).

There are lots of (free) websites to keep records on, great to look back on. I use flightmemory.

5 flights 6970 miles
Will I take another before my end of Feb rollover?
I do need to cancel the one for next weekend.....

Since there is no current wandering
Fred

17 sectors for 14,361 miles / 23112 km. HBA, MEL, ADL, BNE, CNS, PER, SYD. I don't think I've done all the state capitals in a year for a long time - but also first year in about 15-20 years no internationls  :( - a trip to NZ cancelled of course.

Firsts:
First time probably ever, only one airline used during a year (QF).
And another first - ALL sectors in business :)

Congrats on the Grand Slam!

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

I somehow managed to fly 60 sectors in 2021, totalling 30,375 miles. However, most of these were domestic flights and all within Australia & New Zealand. Much less variety than in 2019, although I did visit every Australian state & territory except Tasmania last year.

Airports I visited in 2021 for the first time include ROK, ASP, PLO, GFF, ABX, OAG, PQQ, MKY, IVC & SZS.

Looking forward to a lot more long-haul flying and some more interesting destinations in 2022.

Well that's a little depressing to think about.

BNE-HBA return. 3 capes walk.
MCY-xSYD-LST. HBA-xMEL-MCY. Meant to be for 2 conferences; both cancelled less than a day out. Had to argue with police in MCY who insisted we needed to quarantine because we had transited Sydney. Fun times.
BNE-MKY return for the cricket (womens ODI, EPIC!)
BNE-ROK for sailing course.
Soooooo many other cancelled flights showing in my calendar. Sigh.

Total 5903 miles. Plus 3699km on a holiday road trip.

Like most, this was the lowest total number of flights and lowest travelled mileage for many years for me:
20 flights
13386 miles
10 QF, 9 VA, 1 QQ
15 B738, 2 B712, 2 E190 and one little Fokker.
Another unusual thing: all were leisure flights due to minimal work travel.

21 games of golf played outside home district, across five states.

Covid QR code check ins: zero
(although my wife generally checked me in when we were somewhere together and the QF Club lounge dragons always made me check in on their iPad; VA, nope)

Now fortunately (or not, depending on how you consider such things), about this time tomorrow I should be close to a boarding call to take my seat in SQ J.

10,609 km starting with return from Cairns after spending NYE up at Port Douglas and ending with flights up to Cairns to spend NUE at Palm Cove

Three cancelled trips - two to WA and one to NZ
First camper van holiday
Meet two fellow AFFers
Road trip to the Gulf from Cairns

I flew to Sydney in April for a wedding and to Kangaroo Island to retain Qantas status. Husband had actually returned to weekly flights to Victoria and Sydney for three months and latest was the day when Sydney exploded. He got lucky.

Cancelled trips? I don't even want to go there. So much for being of the age when finances permit travel to exotic locations and emptying the bucket.

‘SKIN’ - spending the kids inheritanceNOT

Very light year for me with domestic shuttles
Sectors: 34 (22 J & 12 Y)
Miles: 15,900
Most popular route: SYD-MEL

Mostly shuttles between SYD-MEL when offices were open. With more leisure trips, I've started on the VA status run with their generous SCs till March so red to gold pretty quickly achieved.

A slightly busier year for me and MrsK, with 33 fights & 16,863 miles, up from 19 (16,314 miles - a run to the UK for work in Jan) in 2020, although massively down from 2019 - 103 flights & 77,224 miles, and 2018 - 132 flights & 118,917 miles. About 50/50 work (CBR-BNE, CBR-MEL) and leisure.

We managed to get away for a few firsts:
- Campervan trip in Tasmania
- Palm Cove, twice (June and Dec), staying at The Reef House
- Catching up with fellow AFFers in Canberra, and Pete and Al in Palm Cove

Only two cancelled trips; Adelaide in Feb, which we rebooked in Mar, and Noosa in Aug.

I've managed 29 segments and 46,491 miles.
I think the main highlight of the year is the 27 QF bookings I had to cancel due to border restrictions/lockdown.:p
I guess the fun highlight is that I've managed an international trip with QR in November, it was nice to try the Qsuite!
Also, I did my first trip to NLK, a truly beautiful place which I highly recommend!

Flights in 2020. Zero.

Flights in 2021. Zero.

Flights in 2022. I can probably make a prediction...
Very similar to me. I spent all of 2020 and 2021 in my home state. Furthest I traveled was to attend a wedding in Hervey Bay. Other that that, never more than 100km from home. In fact, other than three short get-aways to the Sunshine Coast, probably not been more than 50km from home for 2 years.

18 flights for a total of 36,629 miles.

I might be in a minority of people who expect to do less travel in 2022 than in 2021.

Highlights were QF2 LHR to SYD via DRW and trying Qsuites for the first time.
