I
From my perspective the only letdown of the night was finding that Princess Fiona is more like a Smurf than an Ogre

That was perhaps the most distressing part of the evening. :(:p

I found out when I went to pay last night that it was all fixed up - Too late to say thank you then.

OK I don't feel so bad now. Thanks to the drinks fairy, whoever you are. :D

Thank you everyone for your part in last night - especially munitalP, HSW, QF, DJ & Travel Guru.

And thank you to whoever it was who kept the drinks going, & bought my dinner ( my butter chicken was delicious). I found out when I went to pay last night that it was all fixed up - Too late to say thank you then.

Am starting to think about food again. Are AFF folk in the Exec lounge or restaurant?
We are going to head to the lounge first in a few minutes.

Lot's of group pics were taken - and we'll see them soon no doubt! But here was the setting on a beautiful Melbourne evening. A fun night it was!

I'm trying to put a few words together but they are coming out rather slowly this morning.

.

I'm wearing green today :p
May I also say what a thoroughly great night it was.
Thankyou to munitalP for organising a top Do :) :) ( and also for making sure I won the door prize ;) )
The HSW staff were superb as always.
It was great to meet a few more AFF'ers.
We are currently checking out The Lounge at MEL, waiting for our flight.
It's pretty impressive so far.
Best Wishes and Happy Christmas to you all
PF

Thanks to everyone for making this such a great evening. Here is our group photo:

It was nice to meet a few new people. I seem to recall I had waygu steak very late!!

I don't know how you managed to get that! Along with everything else. The waiter came back after you left and asked if you were happy with everything!

Yea... I think they looked after me!!

I went to the kitchen and they had finished for the night. Was all cleaned and everything.

I "suggested" it would be very good to have a steak!!

Hey presto.;)

Oh yea... I was also given a couple of bottles of sparkling and a bottle of Lagavulin. Winning!!

Was a great night, fantastic to see some old friends and meet a whole heap of new people.

Thanks Munitalp for organizing it and thanks to Admin for making an appearance.

Merry Christmas all.

I'm glad you enjoyed the spin in my new car!!

I took a decent drive in it this morning.

Maybe I'm starting to like it a bit more now!

Now home after knocking over the last bit of Xmas shopping in town today. Phew!

We had a great night last night. It was, as usual, great to meet old faces (you know what I mean :) ), and a number of new ones as well.

Many thanks to munitalP (and anyone else who may have been involved) for the organisation of the evening. Thanks also to the prize sponsors (Qantas, Virgin, Travel Guru - hope I didn't miss anybody), and to the excellent HSW staff. The SRB duck now takes pride of place in my newly-created duckarium - thanks again TG!. And it was great that admin was able to drop in and see the (nice) monster he has created!.

I think I may also have been the beneficiary of an unknown benefactor's largesse, to the tune of a glass of nice red - many thanks.

And lastly, thanks to all AFFers who attended (esp. from interstate) - without you all there would have been no evening. Hope to catch up with you all at a future event.

Give me a few hours and I should add one or 2 photos including one with everyone tagged.

Thanks to Hilton South Wharf especially the lounge staff for their hospitaliity putting up with so many noisey AFFers in the executive lounge last night.

Now I need a good sleep.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Boss Reggie's new wheels (and Travel Guru driving it), the VW Sirocco, was magic to drive, think Golf GTi on steroi_s and you're on the mark.

Thanks TG.

You are welcome to take it for a spin next time you are in town.

I did offer Princess Fiona and Shrek my SLS AMG for their use whilst they were here. Oh well....... Next time maybe.
