Like Flying mermaid Mrs. Lime n self trying out new Rydges at Int. night before.
I think you will enjoy it - so so convenient! The staff were very friendly and the beds and pillows good. (I am a bit fussy about my pillow!). One little trap - at least in our room - the vanity for the bathroom backs onto the fridge area, so the fridge is actually a bit under the vanity. As a consequence the vanity top gets quite warm, as I discovered when picking up my bottle of perfume in the morning so be careful what you put on there:)

If you're travelling HLO you should be ok with four hours. With luggage you might be restricted to three hours before departure time.

As Rydges member the room on special when booked only paid a mere $157.

Will have luggage unfortunately.

Currently in Sydney F Lounge ahead of Qf1 to London. I took most of advice that has been provided, i got on earlier Adelaide flight which landed early at 910am, transferred and was through into lounge by 945am.
Booked a spa treatment at the front desk, as suggested.
Had breakfast and lunch ( with a glass of Tattinger), both were lovely.
I could get used to this.

Do the F lounge staff call you to book spa treatments if flying F on an award booking ?
Or was that only for revenue/cash F fares ?

Thanks

Sorry to hijack your thread, just wondering whether the SYD F Lounge is likely to be packed around 1-3ish pm for JQ35?

There last Thursday. Pretty quiet at 1230. Started to pick up just as I left.

Typical, and gets worse on Sundays.
+ 1
I was there on a Sunday. Had really been looking forward to it. It was horrendous. Packed to the rafters with noisy loud people. Impossible to hear your partner speak or breathe or think. All the worst aspects of even the best North American lounges only bigger and louder. Really disappointing.

Try catching flight very early in the weekday. It is very quiet this morning at SYD F lounge. I love it!

Always very busy before the US flights. And yes, some Americans do need a volume control (likewise, I've had cringe worthy moments with Australians overseas... So I'm not being discriminatory)

How many % of the 450 people on the A380s to the US would be WPs do you reckon ?
Do the US flights typically have higher loads than the DXB-LHR flights ?

Earlier this year a colleague and I watched someone come into the SYD F lounge, sit in a window chair near by and proceed to demolish a Big Mac Meal and a box of chicken nuggets   :!:

Quite a few I would imagine, while the US flights share some blame, the moving of the Asian flights is the main factor.

I wonder what would be the absolute worst time of the week to be in the SYD FLounge? Im guessing Saturdays at about 11am?
