Well folks, just passed the 11,000 post mark. Now that last 1000 came around a lot faster than the previous ones. Its great to see more activity and hence more valuable contributions to the community.

And this is post number 13,000. Things are moving along quickly now.
Had a sticky beak earlier on but still quite short.

Fitting that you are the one to reach new milestone again.

Good luck.

And somewhere between 12000 and 13000, JohnK zoomed past my post count.

Dang

Sounds like you're expecting your posting run to come to an end.
Planning an around the world with the bits of information I have collected from the various gurus on this site.

If only I knew what was happening with the 2 week contract that has already been extended to 7 months and not sign of an end. :? When this contract finishes I will take that hard earned break. :D

Haha, I like contracts like that. I have been sent away for four weeks, and then spent a year there. Another time I went for 8 weeks and spent eight months. (It was this second one that originally made me platinum, as I had an agreement to fly back to Perth every second weekend)

I am not that lucky.

I get to travel to Castle Hill in Sydney which is a 45 minute drive there and 45 minutes back. :p

Not sure whether RTA has a frequent driver program I can utilise.

Well, if you buy shell fuel you can get fly buy points. If you buy any fuel on the right credit cards you can get FF points. Loyalty points all round if you look :)

And if you're a frequent speeder, you can get extra special frequent speeding points. Get too many, and you start getting taxi rides from A to B instead of having to drive! :D

And if you pay your speeding fines by credit card, and then pay the taxi's by credit cards, a points baonanza awaits.

(But yes, you might be a bit poorer, but you can't have everything)

I am really not that loyal to Coles Myer whether it be Kmart Tyre and Auto, Coles Express, Coles supermarkets etc. I have no interest whatsoever in flybuys as it is too time consuming to ensure that you get credited with all Coles Myer loyalty spending.

I do use credit cards (amex) for a lot of general spending but that only adds up to ~12,000 per year. Not that much compared to some of the numbers that have been mentioned on this board.

I am not that loyal to "FlyBuys" either; but over the years I have managed to score a MEL-BNE return (which I upgraded one-way using a certificate), a portable two 'phone system for the house and recently a Tefel auto toaster.

This is all without making any special effort to ensure I use a flybuys retailer; it just happened. (No NAB CC either).
