Only available to those in the VEDA "Very Good" or higher brackets...

I don't think it's very hard to get a 'Very Good' Veda rating. I've got multiple cards including this one on not a huge income... and I had a 'Very Good' rating.

I would think if you don't have a 'Very Good' rating this card is probably not suited to the applicants needs.

Would it be possible to ,combine this with the 50,000 bonus Qantas Points on the Citibank Qantas Signature Credit Card

They're different promos, so it's one or the other.

That said, you can sign up for the qff offer, pay the fee and wait for points to post, then call up and sweet talk the CSR to move you to the free for life offer & refund the fee.
COmplete up to the discretion of the CSR so ymmv.

I think that's worth a shot. As it's cheap points anyway really...

However not being a QFF hoarder I don't see the value in 50k points from Qantas. Availability, fuel surcharges etc make it a lot less attractive than say 50k in Krisflyer points.

Hmm I have an excellent credit history but only an average Veda rating. Maybe it's too many enquiries for bonus point and balance transfer cards. Although it's not that many, 4 credits cards + mortgage.

What kind of time period? I do no more than 2 per 12 months. However now had Amex Plat Edge and Citibank Signature so can't see myself changing that too soon.

Mine was average too. 3 CC applications in last 6 months

Ditto - 3 CC applications within the last 12 months.

Applied for my credit history and as expected, was excellent (and only 2 of the above applications were noted).

Have a BT with Citi(cheque ;)) now if I then transfer part of that debt to another card I have will it show on credit report/history as an issue?

It will not show up in credit report. Unless of course you explicitly agree for a credit enquiry as part of a transfer process with another bank, which i imagine would be quite a rare occurrence.

Unless you have asked for a credit increase would not fall into the category of reasons that allow this to be logged with the credit bureau.

Maybe I was dreaming last night but I swear I saw Citibank sig fee free for life again.

I'm in the "Good" bracket and got approved for Signature. The credit enquiries that Amex do on my account are likely what causes me to drop down.

My understanding is that only you can view the "File Access" information (i.e., that AMEX may do every month or so) and that card providers cannot.

But yes, they can see the enquiries and the numbers/dates will affect that.

Edit: Edited the above. Got my original post the wrong way round. They can see the enquiries, of course.

Yep, this is correct.

So I got the Free Balance transfer Cheque after ensuring account 0 before I got the money.
1st statement correct and paid min interest
2nd statement had a $35 interest added!!!!!
I rang and yelled down the phone demanding it be removed as no reason for it there.
Was eventually told would be removed and show in nex statement....now to ensure their is no more interest charged with 4 months to go! grrrrrrr
READ EVERY STATEMENT TWICE!

$0 Annual Fee for Life on Citi Plat/Signature CC Complimentary Insurance - Be careful

Got back from holiday to find a statement. Did normal line by line review and hey presto ANNUAL CARD FEE.

Rang 24hr line - "Sorry there is no record that your account is Fee-Free, the code says otherwise."

"Have a look back at the notes for July/Aug 2014."

18 minutes of nothing there conversation...

"Can I speak with your team leader please."
"I am dealing with your query please hold."

2 more requests before I state that "I wrote down your name, time of call start and it is now 23 minutes later. You have refused three times to put your team leader on and as you stated this call is recorded."

Loud sigh and "Please hold."

TL (or someone masquerading as) comes on. I give the dates of Citi emails, supposedly looked up on their system and;
"There appears to be a request that has not been actioned. We will fix this up and your Annual Fee charge will be reversed".

Another note to phone call file filled in.

Used the free Priority Pass at Changi on transit with BA recently. Smallish but well appointed area behind Starbucks. Excellent Turkey & Pastrami rolls. Large stock of 2 minute noodles with boiling water dispenser was a surprise (not used as 25+ in terminal). Other more usual lounge food - limited range but enough for a change. Ratio of alcohol choices to non-alcohol = 7 to 1. Teetotalers be warned.

Efficient sign-in. Hopefully no charge on statement.

Well I am not sure. ... I did just enter the code and it brought up the offer so it is a valid code. You do have to register via prioritypass.com/citibankaus

I am assuming when trying that you have only entered the details of the signature supp card holder and supp card number and not the primary ? It treats the supp card as a completely different customer.. Other than that I cannot assist ..Sorry

The alternative is contacting citi and seeing if you can get any sense out of them.

So both my partner and I had Priority Pass memberships (main and supplementary card). In January the supplementary card's Priority Pass didn't turn up in the mail and when I called Priority Pass I was told that Citibank had cancelled the card back in August with a note saying "no priority pass for supplementary card". Did anyone else have the same issue? Should I try and sign the supplementary card up again?
