using one of my vouchers recently , It appears I'm ticketed (received email) however I go through the Qantas site to manage my booking comes up with the following: -

Not flying on this ticket for a while so not overly concerned, however is this an issue that will correct itself, or will I have to call to sort it out at some stage...? Thinking while the "please contact Qantas" is still there there might be problems OLCI for this booking...?

we had so much trouble with this last year. at some stage an extra letter was added to one of our names and every residual voucher we used produced the same result - contact Qantas etc and it was such a drama to get it 'fixed'. been great this year except for the delay in creditting points of course.

Received a call from a nice chap acknowledging my second email communication in regard to missing points. I have been told that it should all be sorted within the next two weeks. Although it's very disappointing to have do multiple follow-ups chasing up these points, some credit must also go to Qantas for making the necessary phone calls to keep me updated.

At times all businesses have issues, in my opinion its how they are handled which is often more important than the actual issue itself...a phone call is always preferred over silence or a "canned or scripted" email reply

The wait continues ;)

Only half of my expected 10,000 pts posted, because I had a voucher for 2 pax. Just over 2 weeks ago I called the "premium" line. The CSR I spoke to could not fix the problem immediately and said she would call me back.

To her credit she did call back, to inform me that she was about to leave work, and was waiting for some information from 'communications'. Since then I have heard nothing.

Eight weeks from purchase expires tomorrow. I am hopeful that my points will be credited shortly. We shall see. BTW I extended my mobile phone contract with Optus for 2 years and within a week a 4000 pt bonus posted.

I had 5,000 post this week. Expected 10,000. Purchase date was Dec 6. My last call was such an ordeal, I'm going to wait a few weeks to see if it sorts itself out. Agree with you all, the monitoring and chasing up is tiresome

I called up today to find out where the other half of my points were. Received the standard reply of "Ohh we know there is an issue and the remaining points will post soon". Not overly concernaed as I have all the documentation and not in a hurry for the points so will leave it for another few weeks.

Three weeks ago I called the 'premium' line and spoke to Adriana asking about my missing 50% voucher points. No further response other than to be informed that she was waiting on information from 'communications'.

Today I called again. Rhonda told me they should have posted in 6-8 weeks and she had messaged 'communications' for details.

Seems to me that 'communications' is a misnomer.

I had a second call back from QF following up from last week. Confirmed I am missing points and that it will be noted and followed up on, but that they should come through soon.

I've made one phone call and sent two emails to find out where my missing Q gift flight points are, had 2 call-backs like you, last one over a week ago still nought, why am I not surprised .

Please do send me the details so I can escalate these outstanding vouchers.

As previously mentioned, this promotion crosses over multiple departments. For consistency purposes, both Adriana and Rhonda would be in touch with the central contact, however it can take time to respond when adhoc investigations are requested.

I'm still waiting too Red Roo :D

Thanks

If you haven't already been in touch with our Frequent Flyer team, please send me your voucher details also.

Thank you too, for your kind words in support of my activity on AFF. I sincerely appreciate it. :)

After 2 phone calls and an email sent over a week ago, I received 3 phone calls yesterday trying to sort out the remaining points owing to me.

Another phone call this morning to confirm that my remaining points have been allocated. Took time to sort out but in the end a good result.

Nothing yet here.

Red Roo - I haven't contacted QF yet as I'm not in a rush for the points. Do you know if it's expected to be resolved automatically (eventually) or will I need to get in touch?

I'm keeping an eye on this and working closely with the teams involved. We're aiming for a collective resolution and hope to finalise this soon.

However I'd be happy to follow up for you via private message.

Re: 10 QFF Points per $ - Gift Vouchers - BUT problem with mutlitple vouchers

I have what I now see is a MAJOR problem with what seemed a great idea at the time after tipoff from AFF. I bought 2 x $500 vouchers on 26 Dec.13 both made out to myself (other solo travellers on this thread noted). [As a side note the 10,000 FF pts credited on 27Jan.14 so better than some. However when I went to redeem some of the value on a flight to ADL in March the on-line flight cost was $349 then jumped to $697 on pay page! It seemed to require the name of the second passenger travelling with me. Naturally I got onto the QFF team and was told I had to travel with another pax! This is patently absurd as I bought 2 x $500 vouchers made out to myself (I thought). The problem appears to be multiple vouchers bought at same time and how request is filled out. Many others have told of buying multiples so how have they fared?

My voucher was made out for $1,000 to "Dear Michael; Michael - from Michael" which sounded a bit schizophrenic at the time. After a long pause and check with narrowly minded "terms and conditions" (T&C) person the CSP came back with bad news that I had to travel with another person - whose name I could change. This is of absolutely no use to me as like most solo travellers here I virtually NEVER travel like that. Yes, the T&C (I am a lawyer thanks so I can read such things) say you cannot amend the number of travellers. However I intended to buy 2 separate vouchers at $500 intended solely for myself. Qantas has chosen to give me a single $1000 voucher made out to myself twice so I allegedly have to travel with myself twice (or another person) to be able to use the voucher. This to me sounds a problem with the Qantas software and likely not the way I filled out the request - I have not tried to replicate, but also likely the stupid and confusing way the request is phrased online - all of which is not my fault.

Qantas is relying solely on the T&C about not changing the number of pax so I effectively cannot for the moment cannot use this voucher as it was intended (this week had to book returns to ADL and AKL and pay for them, rather than using this wretched voucher as intended). This is clearly absurd. Are they so desperate for revenue now they cannot amend this to a single pax (moi) as originally intended?!

Surely some other AFF members buying self-multiples have had this problem? At this point a work around during the buying process is of no use to me obviously.

I will write to Qantas formally about this - and will certainly be threatening them with the ACCC or other governmental consumer redress.

If the ever helpful Red Roo is lurking he might be able to help sort out what is an absurd problem, of Qantas creation in my view.
