I just got this email too...And I don't even have the card yet. Never even applied for one, so presumably this just got sent to all QFF members regardless?

No fee for ATM withdrawal in Australia (unless the ATM itself charges a fee).
So which ATM is going to provide a fee free withdrawal for Qantas cash cards? I have not been paying too much attention if there has been some sort of special arrangement.

Westpac and St George.

I can't find any sign that I got it, so it wasn't sent to all QFF members (I've searched my email) which is a shame, as I would put some money in for NZD on it if I got points as a bonus (since I am going there in Jan.. booked on Qantas as it happens). So if they have a wide ranging offer and leave me out of it I'll stick to my original plan and just ignore Qantas Cash.

I got the email offer of 500 QF points to activate so I did so tonite...took less than 5 minutes, and immediately TF AUD$250 onto the card via POLI... apparently the cash will be in my account in 2 business days (Why not one?). The Fx rates currently offered are listed below (with the current xe.com rates in brackets)...don't forget the 3% exchange fee as well.

When the $250 hits my cash card, I shall withdraw the $250 from a Westpac ATM, and that will be all the use I have of the card . I'll stick to the Citibank Plus Visa debit card for Fx cash withdrawals and the 28 degrees MC for Fx credit purchases, thanks very much!! The Fx rates offered by the QF cash card are not competitive enough for my liking even allowing for the QF pts they throw at you, not to mention the 3% exchange fee!

With the 2 points for $1 offer for December I'm going to actually use this card this month!!

I recently received the new card but not the email offer. Is the register link specific to the recipient or can I use it to qualify for the bonus points?

Mum, dad and brother also received the offer of 500 bonus points.

I dont think it is worth the hassle.

I got the offer as well. I got the card several months ago but never got around to activating it. The 500 points will be a nice bonus. I'm in QFF for the points, not for the flying. I use the points to convert to Big W and WW vouchers. I'll eventually be using the Qantas Cash card to purchase Coles gift cards at 5% off using an Entertainment Book. I have a better points system on my credit cards but this will be a useful points system for transactions where I don't want to use a credit card. I've completed step 1 and step 2 of the instructions and will be loading some cash on the card next week with BPAY.

I haven't received any points yet. The promotion end date is 31 January and there was something in the fine print about having to wait 8 weeks from this date. It sounds like a very long wait compared to the EDR promotions I usually get. Does Qantas usually take this long or do they usually post inside their timeframe for these types of promotions?

I read it as up to 8 weeks after the qualifying transaction. Like you rainbowgirl, I am waiting....

Just found this in my inbox.

Dear Orca,

Your new Qantas Card with Qantas Cash activated is a great way to earn Qantas Points for purchases you make with your own money every day. And to prove it, we're offering you 500 bonus Qantas Points to get you started!*

To get 500 bonus points, simply:
1.Register by clicking on the link below by 31 December 2013;
2.Activate your Qantas Cash facility within 30 days of registering for the promotion; and
3.Load at least AU $250 or equivalent in foreign currency in one transaction by 30 January 2014.

Remember this offer? I activated the card and put in the requisite $250, but no points have eventuated. The QANTAS cash site says you may have to wait up to 8 weeks for the points - well it is now over 10 weeks, and nothing! Looks like a complaint to QFF is now overdue as well.

Yes, was wondering about this myself, its very tiresome how you need to chase everyone for your points!
