Thanks PJMiller, that's quite the SC haul for that route. I was after the CNS-MEL-PER calculations, can't seem to get 160SC's for discount Y.

According to the calculator Earning Status Credits | Velocity Frequent Flyer

CNS - MEL (J): 60
MEL - PER (J): 80
Total CNS - MEL - PER (J): 140

CNS - MEL (Full Y): 30
MEL - PER (Full Y): 40
Total CNS - MEL - PER (Full Y): 70

CNS - MEL (Discount Y): 15
MEL - PER (Discount Y): 20
Total CNS - MEL - PER (Discount Y): 35

Double for the return trip then double again for the DSC.

It certainly has it's benefits as a home port!

Erk, I think I've lucked out so far, seat map is showing 2-2-2 both directions! I think I'll be happy as long as it's not subbed for a 738!
it will show 2x2x2 until a day or two before the flight even if XFA/XFB - Often find out at OLCI.

in J and connecting,
MEL-PER 80 X 2 promo (160)
PER-HKT 120 X 2 promo (240)

i booked and assumed only "full revenue" "snags the bag". i don't think any combination of "points and pay" or "upgrade" would work. MODs. more experienced AFFs may have other view. T&Cs of promo also state that Velocity T&Cs apply, cheers, PJ

Nesting a KUL-AUH-MEL return in one of your Asian trips should be close to doing the trick for $1400 or so
Thanks. I have 155 SCs already with another 20 SCs booked.

I believe that any SC earning travel booked with in the offer date parameters would have said SC earn doubled.

John K, I booked a VA J saver MEL-PER-HKT o/way for $A1,750 (and this yield 400 S/Cs o/way) + 2 VA sectors. Day flight ex Mel 0915 arr HKT 1745. Yes, i know not the most comfortable on the 73H in J- but at least it is a daylight connecting trip and the coast to coast to coast A332 in J. (hopefully not subbed).
That is a fairly creative routing but for me that long flight on a 737 would be uncomfortable.

So excuse my ignorance - but does ASA (as opposed to "Reward") earn SC now on VA?

But upgrades only earn at Cabin Booked?

Q1. I would assume so, but have you seen the points cost of such ASA's? Only a points millionaire need apply ...

Q2. As per the flexi fare you upgraded from x 2

I think Erkpod's figures are correct.

As I booked the flexi which is I understand is full Y despite using the promo code, which would make it 30+40x2=140SC . When I'd previously used that promo code I received my full entitlement of SC's.

Ahhh - I wonder if points+pay counts - shall have to check my account history :)

I'll try this again for the third time. The app crashed on me during my last two attempts at replying.

Even though I didn't use a calculator to add up the figures, I am pretty sure I am correct. I even showed my working! ;)

Will I get the double SC on an any seat points booking?

In days gone by a points upgraded fully flex ticket yielded a nice surprise on all my flights posting status credits up until mid August. It seems that this discrepancy has now been closed out and my plans for requalifying platinum are out the door. Anyone else still able to take advantage of said nuance??

Got the email today. Still it means you have to commit to your travel pretty quickly. I don't really have the chance to plan that far ahead normally. But will struggle to reach SG again without it I think.

Also got to use the QF offer at the same time. A real pain when this isn't my big travel season. Still, lucky to get the offers.
+ 1 to all comments apart from the struggle to reach SG again :D (thankfully re-qual Plat is already in the bag)
