What questions would you like answers for at the QF Loyalty Lunch

That question has already been answered, Marginal ASAs are under a review and it was decided not to include them in the new booking engine while the review takes place.

My first question was a clarification of the erroneous question that I quoted - ie ASAs in general have not been removed from the website, just the ones in classic award buckets.
In particular if QF loyalty want to be transparent they will answer outlining the reasons for the review (eg making a "loss") and what specifically they are looking at in the review - not just a dismissive "because they are under review", as other posters have mentioned. As secretive/deceptive as they may want to be, a lack of open honesty may not be the best thing "moving forward".

My second question (making that two questions, not one question) has not been answered.

Calling them "Marginal" was quite open and honest in my opinion, with the inference the margin is not what they would like on these redemptions, anything further probably crosses commercial in confidence lines.

We need all ASA's as they were not just some.

Qantas decided to have the one online integrated award booking engine - with that, the choice was made to do away with that of the existing "Any Seat Award" functionality and not include it in the new engine.

They were simply going to start referring to the existing "Points Plus Pay" as "Any Seat Award" as well.

Apparently, it was only outcry (on Social Media etc.) that resulted in a decision to retain the ability to book based on the previous Any Seat Award booking engine with a call.

Why are Qantas surcharges on an Award flight over 400% more than Virgin?

Business Class MEL-LAX one way
Virgin Surcharges ~ $116
Qantas Surcharges ~ $506

Yes I know the real answer, but as per the title my question is for QF to answer. I'd like to hear them come out with the response "It's because we charge our customers fuel surcharges but Virgin doesn't" :)

So the next question is: "Why do Qantas charge YQ/YR whereas VA don't?" :p

But your question is likely to get a response like "we can't explain how VA price their awards".

...although what they really mean is, "our award inventory sells out 8+ months in advance anway, so we really don't care." :p

I have a question that someone might ask for me. Being a young frequent flyer and relatively new to Qantas Frequent Flyer (2009), I'm a long way behind some of the other users on here in terms of lifetime SC tallies, so I'm just wondering when they plan to 'enhance' lifetime status, at least in earning it, so I can get a move on before that time and perhaps achieve it.

I'm more than willing to book travel now to make sure I'm looked after well into the future, especially seeing as I can't buy lifetime Qantas Club, but would be most disappointed if I wasn't given the opportunity to get there.

Thanks :)

There are only three things that are certain in life, Death, Taxes and Qantas Enhancements

when are status credits going to be able to be earned on EK flights

That is a good question - would like to hear if there is any plan to do this.

And like many others I would be keen for ASA's to return at the classic award rate. The old system was fine - if there was a classic available the ASA was comparatively low in points required if not, then it was higher and you booked it if you chose to.

When QFi ceases to operate? :-|

Seems like it would be the wrong way to go, especially considering it doesn't work the other way (EK members can't earn on QF domestic unless booked as part of an international ticket), so they'd really be shooting themselves in the foot if they allowed that.

I would like to know what incentive there is to remain a QFF Platinum based out of Perth - no Business Lounge, No First Lounge, No First Class flights (guess I answered my question), No PE flights, no possibility for international points upgrades unless going to Singapore.

Will I ever be able to book a J award ticket with AY?

Or are we forced to go via the sandbox & EK....

There is not a lot of F options out of PER, however I do agree on your points.
The response is generally sit down and keep quiet PER...

Some interesting questions and I wouldn't be holding my breath for too long waiting for an answer to some of those questions.

I would be quite happy to go with the questions in the minds of those chosen to attend.
