As we have quite a few members going to the lunches, I thought a thread giving those who cannot go a chance to pose questions they would like answers to is in order. I don't expect answers to be forthcoming on all but you don't know until you ask! Given this thread is public, it will also serve as a guide to the Qantas Loyalty team as to what questions they might expect ;).

There is a main question.
Will ASA's be coming back online?, when?.

Others:
Be better to see all seats in view on the QFF site rather than J on a separate page.
So much wasted space on QFF flights page, boxes could be half to what they are now.

I suspect your two questions will be the first two asked!!

I'd ask the first question slightly differently. Why were ASA's removed from an online booking process.

I'd ask yours differently as well, ie.
"Why were ASAs in classic award buckets removed from the website?" which leads to
"Will we ever be able to book them on the website again?"

More relevant. Why weren't ASA repriced and/or the earning structure revised.

+1 to that question - and please ask medheads question.

Another one is "Please explain the reasoning and/or business case behind the separation of J class and PE fares from Y class fares during the booking process.

Followed by - does QF have any evidence about what % of bookings are made from PCs vs Tablets vs Mobile Devices. Did they collect or consider this information before the web site re-design. Was anyone in Qfs marketing or loyalty divisions consulted before the web site re-design? Did they actually see it before it went live?

Also - why are people seeing more JQ options than ever before when looking at making QFd bookings?

That question has already been answered, Marginal ASAs are under a review and it was decided not to include them in the new booking engine while the review takes place.

I know that is the answer provided and certainly not your decision markis10 - but I think a few people want more than a nonsense reply than this, but it sort of leads to the obvious question that if say the performance of a route such as MEL-DRW were under review, would the logical action be to remove that route from the QF booking engine? Just saying.

Hopefully someone else there will ask these kind of questions. The trick is with situations to ask a question that precludes nonsense and spin answers.

Which of course is the purpose of this thread!

1.When do they anticipate the introduction of prepaid cash cards
2.Where do they source the peanuts they feed the monkeys who redesigned the QF website

I suspect QF already know this question (unless Red Roo has stopped viewing in the last few months) and if there were an answer that would appease the AFF'rs I also suspect we would have heard it by now

1.When do they anticipate the introduction of prepaid cash cards

Members will start receiving the chip-enabled cards from tomorrow, with almost 500,000 Qantas Frequent Flyers pre-registering to be among the first.

Why can't I access the F lounge with my VA Plat card?

But on topic, the ASA question I think is at the front of everyones thoughts.

We can only ask and receive what answers we are given. I doubt that Loyalty are the only area who are involved in the decision making and also doubt they are able to give all answers

I don't expect much, seems with the ASA online question and the new web site update debacle they are all hiding in the cubby holes.

1. When is QF expected to announce that it's converting its options for the 787s (to arrive from 2016) into firm orders?
2. Is the new J suite (A330) expected to be the J equipment installed on QF's 787s?
3. When will seat maps be published for JQ's 787s?

Why do "!" still appear on booking for PE/J/F?

Best one I saw was for a BNE-LHR J itinerary, one option was via MEL: "! from Melbourne to London is in economy" and still wanted J fare.

Surely these aren't questions that "loyalty" will be able to answer?
