Have you checked the seat pocket in front of you?

You can tell by the Mont Blanc case!!!

You classy devil.......

I've never been game to to dig to deeply however I might start as I could do with an Ipad or a $100US note !

Start seriously it's a lottery what you might find. Not only iPads but genuine mont blanc covered iPads. The Ben Franklin though would leave coke residue and it could seriously spoil your morning.

Oh, I got back a book I left on a virgin flight.

Found an iPod once and handed it in.

Bump

Just flew QF MEL-ADL and found a BP from the previous flight BNE-MEL in the pocket. Another women in 4C with the same surname as me. Whilst my name is not especially uncommon, what are the odds?

On more than a couple of occasions I have sat next to persons with same surname but unrelated to me. As for the seat pocket items, I have found reading glasses, boarding passes, a credit card and coin.

Delving too deep in the seat back pocket is like looking in a school desk. Fraught with a mixture of intrigue and danger

Yes, but fortunately not old chewing gum (so far).

I try not to put my hands in the seat back pocket unless I take out the Qantas magazine or entertainment guide.

All I have ever found is the crossword/sudoku filled out in the QF mag....
Sorry. Sometimes I get bored and tackle the sudokus. Managed to finish the 2 of them other day waiting to take off MEL-LST.

It never ceases to amaze me how many boarding passes are left in the seat pockets.

Once upon a time, I was flying to Frankfurt from Hong Kong. It must have been 2006, as there were a few Aussies aboard going to the World Cup. The plane was lightly loaded and I was doing a RTW award flight - in Y.

I had a row all to myself. It was the second row in the Y cabin and I was looking forward to whipping up the armrests and getting a bit of lie-flat kip. The row ahead of me was likewise one man only, but as it was a bulkhead, obviously it couldn't be converted.

After take-off a chap from somewhere further back in the 744 came along, sat in the aisle seat in "my" row and asked if it was okay. Somewhat nettled at the prospect of losing my row, I indicated the bulkhead row ahead, pointing out that it had more legroom and would therefore be more comfortable. This worked, he moved, and I was able to get some reasonable nap time in.

Somewhat later, somewhere over Russia a couple of hours before arrival, I'd given up on sleep and was watching a movie. Squirming around to try to get comfortable, my feet encountered an object on the floor. I reached down to retrieve whatever it was and discovered a wallet. Looking inside I recognised the drivers license of the chap ahead, along with nine crisp new Aussie hundred dollar notes.

Heaven knows why he was taking Australian currency overseas, but there it was, temptation in my hands. I could have extracted the money and kicked the wallet further back in the plane, but instead I kicked it forward for my slumbering countryman to find when he woke.

Apart from that, the odd BP is about all I've found in or around seat pockets apart from the stuff that is supposed to be there.

I like to leave odd items for others to find and wonder about. An odd sock, a postcard to Alan Joyce from his lovechild, an empty condom packet...
