Mid Year XMAS Dinner and Drinks - 29 June 2013

Great night was had by all! Thanks to Gordon and co for putting yet another great event together.

Glass was pretty good and the wine was plentiful... we nursed quite a hangover this morning...
 
Sounds like a fab night was had by all, by all accounts. :)
Would have loved to be there but sadly circumstances did not permit! Next time...
 
Had a great evening last night and a sore head this morning :oops:

What a great night, even if I had to fly from the west coast to get to it.

Thanks so much to munitalP, Mrs munitalP, oz_mark and everyone else, including the sponsors especially Virgin Australia.

munitalP you pulled off a great event, I really enjoyed it, great to catch up with old friends and meet some new people as well, with I think 46 attendees it was hard to get around to chat to everyone.

Tomorrow I need to go and ring the Hilton to try and track down a lost camera charger, I know where I left it I just didn't check that spot again when I left the room this morning.

Thanks to tuapekastar and serfty for sharing a cab to the airport this morning.

Thanks to the sponsors and speakers. Mr Katie is well chuffed with his lucky door prize, and special thanks for keeping it for us after we took so long to get there.
The meal was delicious. Thanks to Tony Hancock, swanning_it, Storyteller & Ewing for sponsoring bottles of wine and sticky for our table. Until last night I never knew there were any 750mL bottles of Noble One. AFFers teach me so much!!

As others have said it was a great night and I really enjoyed myself and my prize.

I have copied tuapekastar words for I think they encompass everything I want to say about the awesome organising.

Thank to everyone that made it to the event - I had a great time catching up with the repeat offenders, and meeting people making it out to their first event.

We are back in Perth tonight after doing a longcut.
 
My 1st Mid Year XMAS event and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Great to catch up with some familiar faces and meet a few new ones on the night . I didnt get to meet everyone unfortunately , but im sure we will cross paths again. Great presentation , followed by an awesome dinner in Glass....can I have another Burlee please ! and topped off with a bevvie down in Marble bar. Thanks to munitalP, Mrs munitalP, oz_mark for their exceptional organisation of the event .

Allow me to echo the sentiments of the last few posts. A big thank you to munitalP, Mrs munitalP and oz_mark for their hard work behind the scenes organising this do. I know it isn't an easy task, so your work is appreciated. Thank you also to the sponsors, especially Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer.

As always it was lovely catching up with old friends and meeting some new faces, and I enjoyed the presentation and my chat with Andrew from Velocity.



I was a bit disappointed with several things at the Hilton and will be writing to them this week. Let me stress that this is not a reflection on the organisers.

I have been to the last two and am really disappointed I couldn't make #3 :(. And I don't want to be square next time :D.
