Sydney is down to one runway, thats really going to put some kinks into the system across the eastern seaboard!

ATIS: START APPROVAL REQUIRED ON FREQ 127.6. RWY 25. WX: CAVOK. TMP: 19. WIND: 280/20-40 XW MN 15 MAX 30 KTS. QNH: 1006.

Just reading this on the drive into MEL for a MEL-SYD flight... Don't know whether to thank or curse you...

Its not my fault :). Dont drink to much, it will be bumpy

REPORTED TURB IN CIRCUIT AREA. WIND SHEAR WARNING, REPORTED MODERATE OVERSHOOT & UNDERSHOOT SHEAR ON FINAL.

Currently forecasting 60-90 mins delays. Looks like 6PM flight might be first flight out of here to SYD. No call from the P1 SST yet... I am assuming they are arranging a RAAF jet to pick me up.

Oh and not concerned about the drinking - I will be asleep through the turbulence.

Same issues in BNE right now. Most flights delayed.

I was on QF557 and asked if I can go on earlier flight so was moved onto QF551.

At the moment QF549 is delayed, QF551 is delayed, QF553 has been cancelled, QF555 has been delayed and QF557 is borderline considering it would normally get into SYD a around 10:00pm and the delays are just getting longer.

They have paged anyone on QF551 to SYD and then QF807 to CBR to go to service desk and they will put them on direct flight to CBR.

Just paged anyone on QF557 without checked luggage wanting earlier flight to go to service desk and they will put them on earlier flight.

And another page for anyone on QF555 and QF557 to go to service desk. I think they will try and move anyone with or without luggage.

Lucky I got in early....

Both runways now open, should start to improve.

I find your posts hilarious - why would anyone care if P1 has called you about your late flight?!

In your massive one month contribution to the forum it would be great if you explained why anyone one would care why you care why I would post about my delayed flight.

But keeping on topic if we must. I posted about my experience about the reaction or lack of it by the P1 SST because qantas sold P1 on basis of the excellent service and support for P1 in times or irregular ops and that they had a team monitoring P1 pax to address issues. On the forums over the past 14 months (rather than since August) people have posted their disappointment with P1 because it hasn't lived up to the hype.

This was my first irregular ops experience as a P1 and it was no different to my experience as WP.

Next time I won't post about experiences I will just criticize other posters.

And I have seen photos of him.

I think simongr is taking the piss.

Really? After a close to 90 minute delay drinking red wine in the J lounge ;) However I am not sure Tony Hancock is her real name...

Are you serious WP1 Delta Force didnt contact you? Get them to route you via Per ;)

Sent from my GT-I9100 using AustFreqFly

I will be asking for way more rose petals than normal on the next flight and maybe a unicorn.

If anyone cares, I don't care that he doesn't care about caring for simongr's delayed flight. BUT, I do care that the flights were delayed, because, well, it's just annoying.
