Hi y'all.
Finding myself on a Boeing 737-400 Variable Configuration plane with QF and have a quick question.
I have had a look at seatguru et all but can't see this config breakdown.
Does Row 6 (the one behind Business) have extended leg room like Row 4 or is it just standard given the config. I am guessing it is squishy and as such I should go an exit row.
Can anyone please shed some light?
Please and thankyou.
Taez.

In my experience, except for a recent flight to CBR from SYD, row 4 is the start of Y

Through to 6 is the best seating in the house unless you have B or E! If you have no seat neighbour, feel around under the armrest and unlock and expand! Legroom - can't say, seldom sit further back then 5 but, the 734's have better pitch than the 800's by far

IME.....

4 and 5 have J-like leg room.

I'd go the exit row over row 6. I'd go for 4 or 5 over exit row.

Note sometimes you can only select 6+ at T-80h and 4+5 will free up from T-24hr.

YMMV.

By default QF try configure the first three rows for J and economy for rows 4 and five. I believe this is to assist should a substitution with a 73H be required.

However, I have seen variances. e.g. the first five rows configured for Business class (to/from CBR/PER springs to mind).

Row 6 has the same/similar pitch to that of rows 2-5. The difference is the seats in row 6 are not convertible.

I don't recall row 6 being too bad, but it has been a while since I have been in that row.

Been in these a couple of times in the last few weeks. Rows 4, 5 and 6. 6 aisle is as good as 4 and 5, IMO. Think I'm on one tomorrow night.

Can you let me know how it was or what you saw?
Right now thinking Exit.

My mistake it was a 737-800, 4C. But personally, I'd take rows 4-6 on a 734 over an exit row. But only because I do carry on only and early exit from the aircraft is important to me. I find the leg room in those rows, aisle seat only, to suit me fine. 181 cm high if that helps.

I'd go 6C too - the 4/5/6-C/D seats in the default 12J configuration are the best economy seats on the QF 734's IMHO.
