upgade to premium economy

As the parent of a Qantas pilot I am classed as a category b staff traveller.
This allows me to travel economy class on a stand by basis.
I wish to know if it is possible to upgrade to premium economy if I pay extra
for this service. Can anybody advise

I cant help with the answer, but do wonder if your child could ask directly (or indeed, look up on the QF intranet) at Qantas? There would presumably a published list of restrictions etc?

Qantas are using children as pilots now? No wonder they're having so many problems! :mrgreen:

Only a business class upgrade is avaiable if your son has been there more then 7 years. Sometimes premium is given after paying ofr business depending on the airport staff if no business seats are left

You should be able to contact QF Staff Travel or possibly access via the ST website - alternatively your son could ask.

ozbeachbabe will probably know the answer, being a current QF staffer.

QEB fares, ah yes, those were the days

like i said the answer is no. Business class can be purchased the only way into premium is depending on the airport staff but its a no go if you can only purchase economy

No you can't. Premium economy is not available for staff travel bookings. Paying extra isn't an option.
