A regular sized bowl of soup as a starter. This soup was very tasty.

Lamb was a very generous serve and tasty, with only a small part a bit gristly. But what possessed anyone to put “crispy” on a Qantas menu. They were tasty though.

Paula the CSM was nice and very sweet service from FA Luisa.
Were the crew okay with providing a soup starter for you? I’ve always wanted to ask but assumed it would be met with a big NO, and have considered asking if they would on those “supper” flights where only a main is offered. Noticed you had a starter and main on QF5 too!

Yes they were very happy to oblige. I have asked for this for years now. Always said I’d be happy with a cup to sample. That’s what I often got it in (including a takeaway cup or a tea cup). But recently it has been offered as a small bowl. So I’m guessing it is more common.

Should be offered proactively on these length flights in my opinion. It is disappointing not to have entrees.

Supper and breakfast apparently. Food and crew were pretty OK but not spectacular or anything to get excited about.

I had the slow cooked beef and trifle for supper. Egg and bacon croissant for breakfast.
