I complained and they refunded the $87.50 15% "tip".

It hasn't really cheesed me off, but has made me a tad annoyed. One toll road near Como has no booths, you must be registered and pay by credit card, or have an account.
Had register license plate, had to tell them it was a rental and give them the hire dates, fair enough, don't want to pay others tolls.
Checked account later, 70 euro cents, dare say the cc fee will be more!
I think the term is 'chuggers' (ie charity muggers). Always give them a wide berth.Don't make donations via these pop-up booths as the marketing company takes 85-90% of the donation. You pay $1 and only 10-15cents makes it to the charity. Collectors get paid and work under a pyramid structure with the supervisor getting the largest chunk. The supervisor can have more than one structure under their umbrella. These sub-groups of supervised collectors then pay to the main company structure that then pays what is left to the charity.
Have you noticed how keen some of the collectors are to engage you?
Not assumption. I know someone who worked for one of these marketing outfits. The charity gets very little of your donation.
The nickname for them is Ch-uggers, as in Charity Muggers. I detest them and keep walking. We happily donate to some causes with monthly payments like the Smith Family, but others as needed, or through sponsoring people we know who are raising funds for a worthy cause.Don't make donations via these pop-up booths as the marketing company takes 85-90% of the donation. I loathe them. Our shopping centre always has several. So sick of them. I just want to do my shopping and get out of there and not negotiate with someone just to walk past.Don't make donations via these pop-up booths as the marketing company takes 85-90% of the donation. On the other extreme are places like Chicago, where as soon as the doors open, you hear the announcement that the doors will close. The idea is doors won't close on people (in theory), but if no one goes through, then snap. What cheeses me off is the public transport in Singapore, to be specific - the trains.
The trains spend way too long at each station and the doors close SO slowly. For such an efficient country with a modern metro system, they could really increase efficiency by speeding this up. Hurry up and close the doors!!! (The lack of/weak AC is another topic)
In all seriousness, I spoke to a friend about this. Apparently, (and I could not verify this from an online search) they have an ageing population who, rather than waiting for the next train, will 'go for it' when they see the doors closing. Close the doors too fast and they get caught and injured.

First place the refill bottle in a bowl of warm, but not boiling, water until soap liquid becomes less viscous. I wouldn't microwave it.WCMO is soap refills that are so thick you can't simply poor them into the original (i.e. same brand) pump bottle. It turns into an hours long process with a funnel.
Not naming names but thank you for your attention to this matter.
I have never had an issue with SMRT's aircon, though I guess it might struggle on a truly hot day with the carriages packed to the hilt.
