Caesar salad with chicken or mushroom tortellini with mozzarella
These tortellini are actually quite nice. But why Qantas feels the need to basically force this ugly green fizzly spinach into us is beyond me. We’re not 5 years olds you have to “hide” the veggies for. I hardly ever eat them anyway and that is my personal decision! Which should be allowed, at those J class prices!

I suppose in their defence, spinach is very commonly found in tortellini and other stuffed pastas, and adds a touch of contrast in colour, so I suspect it might be more to do with that than trying to get you to eat vegetables.

And hey, at least they haven't discovered some varietal of green pumpkin they could shave onto it instead. ;-)

Good point- I’ve seen some pumpkin ravioli at Woolies I think the other day… 🤢

Re Spinach IN pasta I have no issue with, Spinach and ricotta ravioli are indeed very common. My problem are these green fizzles all over the pasta sauce itself which in my mind is just very unappealing. But I am a picky eater, I happily admit! 🤗

SYD-ADL lunchtime flight (was moved from earlier flight so not sure exact time). Two options - the pasta mentioned above or a chicken salad with corn salsa.

Having eaten bacon and eggs in the lounge, I was happy with a lighter salad. And I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Chicken was tasty and tender. Salad mix was odd, but worked pretty well.

Contrast with seatmate who said pasta was "terrible". Pax across the aisle also seemed to take a few mouthfuls only.

Service friendly and fine - nothing of note one way or the other.

@Berlin - look away!!! 🫣

It definitely didn't taste great. The bread with the Pepe Saya butter was more tasty. (I too didn't finish mine, but I had an equally bland vegetable Japanese curry pie in the lounge earlier so wasn't as hungry ...)

QF103 SYD-HNL Sorry not food pics. But the pasta was amazing. Really enjoying QF plant based meals lately. Morning croissant disappointing. Didn’t work.
