My qantas link for resetting pin is not working, I have been calling Qantas frequent flyer line and talking to some one from phillipines for days now, Can we please find a way to just re set the pin?
I am not sure, If I can give my frequent flyer number here?

Abdul
1. Dont give your frequentflyer number on a forum.
2. Even if you find a trust a member to help you with you frequent number (via private message) the next question would be, what this member can do that you can't.

I think the best way to get some help is to describe your problem and what happen in more details. Since I guess you get a link to click, what happens when you click on that link? Can you try with a different browser, or in incognito mode?

Hello Dmac59,

I tried that as well, it says security reason , call 131131 , I tried calling them as well, they are seriously useless in phillipines. I mean i send them my license etc which now I feel after the data link is not sure where?
They dont have local offices or other ways?

Sounds like your account has been locked for security reasons (to protect your account), probably due to a number of unsuccessful login attempts.
Unfortunately the Q Frequent Flyer Call Centre (131131) is only open 7am-7pm (AET) Monday to Saturday. There are options to be redirected to booking call centres, but not sure if they can help with Login issues (as you probably found out).
Tomorrow morning at 7am might be your best option (unfortunately).

Wondering if anyone has some advice for me. Booked a flight with Qantas online and the convenient flight for me on the Qantas site was coded CX. I knew this was a Cathay flight but naively I didn't realise I would lose all my benefits of Qantas Club Life membership ... no entry into the Qantas Lounge, checked baggage allowance 23 kilo instead of 40 and worst of all no ability to choose seating. I can live with no lounge access and even the reduced baggage allowance but not the seat request as I have torn my menuscus and need an aisle seat. I have spent many hours on the phone with both Qantas and Cathay and Qantas tell me Cathay has to deal with it and Cathay tell me Qantas. I've been pingponging between the two with neither of them wanting to assist. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance

Can you just pay to choose your seat?
Is that an option?
I don't actually know.

Have you tried using your Qantas booking reference on the Cathay Manage Booking page? As I understand it, you should be able to do the seat selection from there - if eligible - but it may be that some discount economy fares may not allow seat selection until check-in opens.

If you have booked within the last 24 hours you might also see whether you have the ability to cancel without charge and look at a QF flight in place? (more available here on that policy). If it's a QFF reward seat that you've booked, then perhaps you're better off trying to find something which is actually on QF in order to leverage your benefits.

Cheers,
Matt.
