Qantas Courtesy Upgrade Love

I don't know if this is trend but recently I have been given op-ups when parts of my trip have not gone to schedule, e.g. delayed flights and missed connections, or technical issues with planes.

Saying that, on one trip where the flight was 9 hours late and initially arrived at a different airport, and on another 24 hours late, there was no subsequent op-up, nor any compensation. Food vouchers and two overnight hotel stays were included.
Based on these replies, is it possible to calculate a success rate?

I was moved from QF4 to QF140 due to QF4 being late and would mean I’d miss QF295. Thought they may show me some love for having to get to the airport earlier (they tried to charge me for the flight change?!) but alas it wasn’t the case.
