Just received my first ever COVID-19 notice and it was from NSW Health for a Covid positive person checking in the same time as me in the Qantas Domestic Business Lounge on Sunday. Well I am triple vaxed, wore my mask except when eating and will hopefully be just a scare. Not sure how many of these do go out - but a first for me.;)

Out of interest, what does the notice require you to do?

Yep, isn't it now the case that you are not a close contact unless you have had 4+ hours in a household like environment? So therefore, the worst would be some kind of casual contact - like do a RAT and proceed as normal if negative, or monitor for symptoms or something?

I too would love to know what is the point of the notice, and what they want you to do in response.

I know and yes I think we all do that now anyway. Qld Health don't bother. They do not say they were on the plane though so possibly went elsewhere.

Your first time. 😮
Seems every time I go into Westfield I end with one. 🤷‍♂️
From my understanding anyone who checks in with a certain timeframe of a case, will get the alert.

The New South Wales service app is very different to the Queensland health check in app. We don't get notifications. When it was Delta they were trying to notify people but have given up with omicron.

FWIW, I have been there twice in the last couple of months and both times received the monitor text
I posted about the first time:

Well, at least NSW gets it . .
Just went to read it.😁

The premier basically said it no longer serves a purpose and only remains to "give people confidence".

After that point I notice most people stopped using it in pubs, bars, shops, supermarkets etc - and I haven't seen any of those businesses police it - even if they have bouncers.
