Many AFFers buy from Qantas Wine for the bonus point offers. While they are less common, the Velocity Wine Store also has similar offers. And I don't think I've ever seen one this good!

You can get a case of 12 FLAVABOM Vine Dried Shiraz 2019 for $167.88 (plus delivery, which costs $9.99 to my suburb) - apparently this is $132.12 off the RRP. Plus, you earn 10 Velocity points per dollar (this is a promo on all Velocity Wine store wines until 30 April) and 10,000 bonus Velocity points for the case.

So, in total, you get 11,769 Velocity points for $167.88 + the delivery fee. Works out to be an earn rate of around 66 Velocity points per $1, and you get 12 bottles of red wine.

I'm curious to know if you can get the 10k bonus points more than once - trawled the site looking for the T&Cs but couldn't find anything. Might just take the punt to find out... worst case scenario that's work Xmas wine gifts sorted for 2021

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I don't see any reason why not.

Indeed. I ordered a case of the Flavabom and it arrived today. Except it didn't.

It was a case of pinot noir (of a lesser quality), which they will be taking away and replacing with the Flavabom.
As a postscript, I have to say that Laithwaites redeemed themselves very well. The case in error was picked up the following day, and the correct wine was delivered a couple of days later. And, I have to say, it was a really nice shiraz (couldn't help myself drinking the whole bottle).

And, as an extra bonus, Amex advised that Laithwaites are a shop small retailer, so I received bonus Qantas points as well. A good outcome all round!

Now that the wine has arrived, I'm looking forward to receiving the 11,679 points in my Velocity account.

So far, nothing, after a couple of weeks. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for Laithwaites credits to appear?

Well, I think I now have an answer to this question.

I phoned Laithwaites this morning and discovered that they had somehow "forgotten" to process the points. They are now "expediting" it.

So, in this case, it would have taken literally forever for the points to arrive in my Velocity account.
