All of my Jacquart bottles have Qantas Business Class on the labels. The man serving at LL said his manager nearly knocked back my order as its not usually stocked

Your post pushed me to open one of the cartons. (I had bought them as Christmas presents, so hadn't bothered opening.)
Mine have a small QF logo on the back label but no Business Class labelling.
QF obviously doing some cash flow movement. :)

It turned out to be a dud IMHO. @Whining&dining was spot on in his description. It was flat, way too thin and lacked a substance, hardly any follow through. Not something I would expect form a Barossa shiraz at $70 RRP I may have gotten heat damaged stock, I dunno. Nice looking bottle though lol Live and learn.

@Hors Ey I also found it a little bit peculiar that 2014 vintage is not listed for sale on the official Rose Kentish website. Maybe it didn't make a cut or too young to drink?

I really expected a heavy big and bold style however I quite enjoyed the elegance and finesse of it.
I'm curious if you've had another one yet. So far I have opened 4: one was good, one obviously corked, and the next two have something wrong - ok with the first sip but a very dry, astringent aftertaste that is not nice. I contacted Rose, she said she sold it all to Dan's a long time ago but said it was a great vintage and well cared for before they sent it. Soft corks, the most expensive grade available apparently. So I'm a bit stumped, feeeling like I need to send the rest back.

I haven't had a chance to have another yet, but your experience is worrisome. I am prepared to have and accept one cork tainted/oxidised bottle in a dozen occasionally but to have 3 bottles that are corked in a pack of 6 is unacceptable.

I am pretty sure that my Rose Kentish 2014 wine came from a local Sydney/NSW Dan Murphy warehouse as it reached me in a day or so after placing an order. Maybe the Vic Brighton East store had a particular faulty batch? Should not be the case of course.

Also I noted that the cork itself looked really new (see the attached), as if it was just bottled less than a year ago. But the wine tasted great, maybe just a bit green and not as big bodied as I recall 2013 tasted. It had a right balance of acidity and tannins with a pleasant long lasting finish.

I had a quick look at Vivino ratings and there was one guy also complaining that 2014 was corked. The other said that his was corked but he sorted it out by decanting it that made no sense to me. The rest of the reviews were mostly positive.

I will try to open a bottle over the weekend and will report back.

So I made an order with Cellar One last Friday. It was out for delivery with Aus Post early this morning. Nothing received all day unfortunately. Tracking says it has been returned to a depot that is further away than where it was picked up from this morning... I understand the delivery companies must be flat out at the moment, but it's pretty disappointing for a case of wine to spend an entire day in a hot van in 32 degree/90%+ humidity weather without actually being delivered. AusPost generally don't deliver on weekends in my area, so I guess it's another weekend in the warehouse. It was a fairly expensive case too 😩 Assuming these are cooked, does anyone know what Cellar One are like in these circumstances?

I tried the glad wrap trick on the second bottle and it did get better, good enough to drink, but not a super enjoyable wine. After writing earlier I have let the wine sit for a few hours and it's definitely improved, but still a very very tannic aftertaste which I wasn't expecting for a 6 year old wine. If it was cooked I'd expect it to be more plummy. So the jury is out, maybe it will be ok after a few more years. What is very interesting though is that these wines were originally produced under the Ulithorne label as the Paternus, which explains the corks, and the reason only certain back vintages are available now.
