I have several AirBnB bookings for the UK in June and July which I will obviously need to cancel. The current AirBnB "extenuating circumstances" policy is only up to 31 May which is outside the window of my bookings so I have been watching to see if / when that policy will be extended before I cancel.
On 28 April when I logged into my AirBnB account, every booking for the period had a notification posted next to it, to the effect that 'this booking may be affected by an extension to our COVID-19 cancellation policy' and that this 'would be advised on 1 May'. I took this as a hopeful sign that an announcement on extension of the policy would be made in the next few days.
On 29 April when I logged into my account again, that notification has been removed.
Did anyone else see this notification, and if so do you still have it? Or maybe someone at AirBnB hit the 'post' button too early by mistake and it's now been removed?
