Hi,
Anyone have any upadates on V Australia flights, i am booked with my family to leave SYD-LAX on 19th Feb 2009, but i am hoping they are delayed so i can extend my trip another week and possibly fly Qantas (QC member and FF points)
any news....?

Bet VA are loving that , not.
Seems to be what everyone wants, travel QF at VA's expense.
another point.... there is more chance alternative flights will be with UA, not QF, so QFF & SC's wont be an option.
i will be quoting my case, travelling with a 2yr old, United Airlines, you dont have your own tv screen to entertain a child... may seem whinging a bit, but travelling with a 2 1/2 yr old you need to keep them entertained.
no idea what is going on anyway, maybe i will try and call them..
That is consistent with rumours. But I doubt even V-Australia know the exact dates with any certainly. Until they receive the aircraft and then receive the AOC, any date is not guaranteed.i have heard a few unconfirmed reports that the actual first flight for V Australia will be on the 27th Feb as the plane will not be arriving until mid january... can anyone also confirm this or hear anything....
Hi All
was rebooked today on a Qantas Flight was booked to leave on 7 feb
they are now rebooking people from 1 feb to 13 feb
Hope this helps seeing VAustralia has been very poor in commuication what is happening
Cheers

Have heard several rumours, but will be interesting to see what happens. It's good to see that V Australia is re-booking passengers until they launch, rather than leaving them in the lurch (ala many other carriers...)
It is good, but i think they realise its in there best interests. It has been hinted that there loads have not been so heavy so its not been a big deal, also people are given an option to defer to a later flight which for a lot of people may also be an option.
I think you will find that the early flights were yield managed to low loads when they first went on sale. That is they purposely did not sell all the seats.
Hi guys, 1st time writer, long time reader!
I was booked to fly VA to 17 Feb, returning 28 Feb.
I've just been rebooked on QF11 for the outward flight, but I've been told I'll be on the first ever return flight leaving LA on the 28th!
