Not very. Have had for several years.

Interesting. I wonder if business structure and industry matter? My ABN is attached to an ACN but when I first applied it was fairly new - enough for them to want a $10,000 bank guarantee.

((If a company has 2 directors, both have to sign.))
Eh?
And for this, it was not like the previous relationship, we can't present our QFF cards at the EFTPOS and earn points, have present the BP app and the points collect within BP, and then is then transferred to QFF in a block.
I have no interest is this, if this is the case, too complicated!
OT: Will earn my QFF points via a monthly news.com.au subscription from my QTMC.
It's a business only relationship at this stage - all fuel purchased on your BP credit account gets you Qantas points which are credited when the invoice is paid. You cannot get points as a consumer or on one off transactions until the ACCC approves the partnership.

I usually use 7-11 / local independent as the diesel is best priced. I believe Mobil supplies 7-11 and many independents.

both 7-11 and a couple of my independents allow Amex without extra merchant fee. This is important - because the Amex business card records the transaction such that it’s valid for aTO purposes.

BP is more expensive even with QF points

Diesel is diesel. Nothing special. But I’ve always had a suspicion that Woolies petrol is not “proper” petrol (even though the legal definition in AUS gives wide latitude to what can be in “petrol”)

Woolworths Petrol is supplied by Caltex. Also, Caltex now allows Amex without a surcharge (if it's a Calstores operated site).

Sounds like a franchise then - you'd need to find a Calstores (Caltex company owned) site to get free Amex. Foodary sites are always company owned.

I don’t think I’ll drive the extra miles in order to find one. Shopping around for cheapest petrol +|- other benefits is usually not cost effective.:)

Just catching up on this.

Looking at the BP website it appears their new reward scheme with Qantas is only for business operators, is that right?

Correct. You have to apply for BP Plus, and Qantas Business Rewards. You must have an ABN, and it's a bit of a coughshoot whether you even get accepted. They have a massive backlog in applications, so they're taking well over two weeks to process them at present.

The ACCC hasn't yet approved their program for consumer customers.

To my shock, I was approved.

I can't seem to find a way to link the two. It seems I simply start buying petrol at BP at $150/month for five months, pay my bills, and the points will arrive?

Was approved yesterday for my small business (with small emphasized in my application via truthful answers to their questions on usual monthly spend, and what credit limit I might like). HOWEVER, just logged in today and saw they've approved me with a credit limit of $30,000. For monthly fuel! Cant seem to reduce my limit (to something like $300) online, so I've lodged a request with them, and also a please explain…hoping its a fat fingers typo during their clearing of the applications backlog. So if you do get approved, perhaps check the credit limit they've given you...

Existing BP Plus customer so no Bonus Points for me.
So thought I would sign up for the QBR points as I am using BP anyway.
Signed up for Qantas Business Rewards, it was easy enough, they link the QFF account to the QBR account via the ABN...you have to link them together when you log in by accepting in the QBR account.
So you earn QBR points on fuel spend and QFF points when using an appropriate CC to pay the bill.
QBR points should credit a few days after bill is paid according to my info.
Paid a bill a few days ago but nothing in QBR yet.

$30,000 is by the looks of it the minimum credit limit, as that's what I got given too (despite only getting $5,000 from Caltex).

60 day lag according to program terms.

30k limit here too..

Can edit and set per card limits and unusual activity alerts to avoid full exposure.

Unfortunately the per card limits are per transaction, doesn't really help when they can just skip off to another BP. Still, just means you need to protect your PIN.

Alongside unusual activity alerts and locking down the hours the card can be used, per card limits seem like an effective tool. I'm receiving emailed receipts pretty much as soon as the hose is returned to the pump.

I'm hoping I haven't missed a step to link the accounts, the join QBR link still appearing on my dashboard.

Application completed 7 FEB
Under Review email 11 FEB
Username and pass received 17 FEB

Took around 10 days in total . also got $30K limit

Do you need to wait for the card to start fill up or you can link the card number to BPMe . Also how do we check that the BP Plus and QBR have been linked for the promotion

Anyone here taking up the new BP Plus/Qantas Business Rewards offer?

Spend $150 per month on fuel on your BP invoice for 5 consecutive months to earn 50,000 bonus points. Then earn an additional 50,000 points if you fill up with over 20,000 litres of fuel in the first 6 months.

Highly unlikely I will get even close to 20,000 litres of fuel in 6 months but easy enough to make that initial $150/month x 5 to bag 50,000 points.

I previously took up the Caltex Starcard offer of a similar nature but that promo has subsequently been flushed down the poo chute with BP's new alliance with Qantas.

I thought it was worthwhile, so I did take it up, just like the Caltex offer - I'll only get the 50,000 points, and not the bigger bonus
