Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Interesting spin on the term.
My box arrived with 14 Terracotta printed on it ,but the bottles were indeed unlabelled.
Cracked one this evening.. yum.. should have bought more

A Note From Jeremy Parham General Manager, Langton’s
Hi Dr Ralph
I hope this email finds you well.

We are always striving to improve our service and we’d love to hear how we can provide you with a better customer experience.

We’ve engaged a research firm to help us gather your thoughts on wine and how you find shopping with us.
You can participate from home, in your own time, and we will remunerate you for your time with a $250 eGift voucher.
The research will involve a total of three hours, over the course of a week, taking the format of an online panel where you will be asked to respond to questions and submit comments and content in your own time.
This is your chance to help us shape what the future of Langton’s looks like – a forum for you to let us know what you expect, where we can improve, what direction we should take together as the industry landscape changes.
Kantar Consulting, an independent research consultancy and Stable, an independent research agency are conducting the research on our behalf.

If you are interested in taking part, please register via the link below. This will lead you to a registration page on Stable Research’s website.

Your feedback is invaluable to us, and I hope to hear from you soon."

$10 is a good price for it, if I remember correctly there was a great deal on cellarmasters for $50 off $120 and they that's what they sold in 12's - minus cash rewards and woolworths discount code brought it down circa $6.50 a bottle - bargain of the year (I think end of 2016)

got my 2013 for $4.40 a bottle - crazy times!

Cheers

I saw Pilatus wasn't happy with the '18

but earlier vintages look to have been popular and Dan's are selling the '17 not the 18. Ordered half a dozen.

What is the photo showing 'Barrel Select'?

I'm in for 6, was always a good quaffer at $10 a bottle.

I checked their website earlier before buying. Maverick make 2 versions of the Twins Bordeaux blend:
'Standard'

and a barrel select:

The standard on the website is a 2016 vintage and $29 , The barrel select is a 2017 and $31.50

The photo in the Dan's listing shows the barrel select - but the text doesn't mention.
I'm unsure if the barrel select is significantly different, or if it's just a label used in better vintages.
Though they do have their 2017 GSM available in both standard and barrel select.

Will be interesting to see what actually shows up - I'm assuming it'll be the 17 barrel select as pictured.

Anyone have experience with the Andevine Shiraz?
I haven't tried the Canberra Shiraz, I've tried the Hunter valley Shiraz which is good value at $30 from cellar door price , I'm not sure what vintage you are looking at but if it is under $30 it's worth it.
