Yes, but multiply it a little more than that so it almost floods their notifications. This would be easy enough to prove with a screenshot.
So each time I click the wrong emoticon the person receives a notification that isn’t removed if I then I unclick it as it was clicked in error?
If so my apologies to anyone as I have probably done this many times a day.

I’ll have to think about that issue.

I do that quite a bit too, easy to click the wrong one on a phone. Though it seems less likely to happen on the new version.

An accidental click and unclick isn't likely to bother anyone. However, doing it 10-20+ times will. We can work out pretty quickly what is accidental and what is not in this way.

Thanks @JessicaTam
That's the exact feature I was trying to describe but I probably didn't make it clear enough.
Thanks for the screenshot. I can't due that on my system due to security issues so you were really helpful.
In short, I want the new indicator to really stand out like it did in the old interface.
To be honest, until you mentioned it, I hadn't noticed it before.

Hvr thanks for the tutorial as you can see I am a good student and therefore agreed with your post.

Must say I was the same. Even with knowing it is there it still doesn't mean a heck of a lot to me!
This has now been sorted. The usefulness of the icons is so that you know for sure which post you last read, and which post is new when visiting an updated thread.

The colour chosen is the same as the "NEW" icons on the community home page next to individual forums with new content.

I just want to say that I like how when I've filtered to New posts (my typical browsing method), I click on the thread heading to go to the most recent post since I last looked at the thread. I missed that in the last upgrade/change - the wee blue circle was much harder to click! I use clicking software to help me reduce the number of clicks I have to do myself, and I have to be very careful where I move my mouse on many websites. :p

I haven't had any real problems with the new site, so held off any comments until I'd used it a fair bit both on the desktop and iPad. Generally fine and good job. Certainly smoother and better looking on the iPad (safari). But picture uploads are marginally slower on both for me. But not enough to be a concern.

Thanks to all for the hard work and support for the upgrade.

I haven’t received the gazette emails since the upgrade. I see there are 2 in the archives. They haven’t gone to spam. Should I just resubscribe or is this a know issue?

Our records show that your email 'bounced' 6 days ago. Perhaps your inbox was full at the time?

Come to think of it, I've not seen it either. I have 2 spam collection points - 1 is server side (that I review regularly to release e-mails that are genuine) and the 2nd is client-side in the e-mail client itself (i.e. it's passed the server side filtering). I've not seen these e-mails sitting in either........

Your email bounced in December.

I am still receiving email post-upgrade.

Something else I've just found - the link to the Gold Member Offers Threads forum doesn't seem to be on the main forum list anymore. I was able to find it by clicking through 4 links or so from a post which had a link to membership levels/how to upgrade etc. so wondering if there's a quicker/easier way (other than bookmarking) to actually find it?

It wasn’t full and and ISP spam filter just ‘Tags’ any suspected spam - it doesn’t delete or reject them.

Did Thursday’s gazette bounce too? It haven’t got it either.

I like it. Nice and clean and appears slicker than the previous version. One thing I have noticed, is that when I signed in, it told me I was already signed in and didn't go to the usual start page.

And the smilies - not so many now, I thought there were considerably more on the previous version?
